+UNNERVING TRUTHS+

The cold breeze blew past me as the hot sun beat down on my black out fit. I walked with slow small steps, my body acing from my punishment last night. My wounds weren’t deep but I had fainted once from loss of blood, what I couldn't get out of my head was the image of Jack. His pain filled expression of guilt, remorse, regret, sorrowfulness and concern, broke my heart. I thought that it would have been nicer it they would have just killed me. Now I would have to put up with my mate, would he get angry at me or hit me?

If I don’t die before I get there I might find out. I thought sourly.

‘Rose…’ Roxy whimpered, ‘why are you so suborn? Why do you push him, your mate away? Your not going to be loved if you don’t love yourself.’

Should have told me that earlier. My eyelids were getting heavier, my heart thudding wearily in my chest. My head felt greasy and my clothes rough and dirty. I grit my teeth and bend my head as I trudge up an enormous hill that seemed to go on forever, ah, I remembered, the last big hill before the school.

The sounds around me, began to get muffled, dizziness washed over me and I struggled to keep my blurring vision from going dark.

Huff, huff, huff… I sound of my own breath increased, and then the world faded into obscurity.

Kristof POV.

I paced, my hands behind my back. They were behind my back because my sister tied them there, in fact. I could easily break the tight rope with one pull, but if they were broken, then she would know. So I was stuck, paced at the entrance of the pack school, waiting for my mate.

She’s still not here! I checked the clock for the hundredth time.

“Calm down, she been late all the days she’s came.” Yes, but would she come back? Why did she run, I woke up and she was gone! Had someone taken her? But could I know? I was so mad, my fists clenched and I wanted to punch something. WHY WHY WHY!!!!!!????

Her manner and the way she acted only made me want to know her more, more in every aspect of her. But she was gone and it was driving me crazy! Not to mention the dream I had last night, my worst nightmare, I’d never seen or felt anything like it. I woke up screaming bloody murder at four in the morning, and that’s when I realized she was gone. I rested my head against the stonewall, getting ahold of my breathing. I don’t know quite how, but Abby and my mom convinced me to wait for her out side the school. But that dream… I shivered.

_(THE DREAM)_

I was chained to a black stonewall, cold with grime and dirt. The air was musty and smelled of decaying dead stuff, I didn’t want to know what. The room I was in was large, with a dirt and hay floor that looked as though many people had been in here at one time, but now there was no sound.

Then a soft thud, thud, thud… as in footsteps approached and suddenly a door, in the middle of the wall across from me opened and in walked a cloaked figure. I could not tell what gender the person was of, but it walked right up to me and grabbed my arm with an iron grip.
