Tick.

Tick.

Tick.

Tick.

Tick.

I huffed, blowing a piece of hair out of my eyes as I put a hand under my chin and tapped my nails on the counter with my other hand. It was 8:53 at night at the bakery was closing in 7 minutes. And the shop was already empty of customers, but Tammy wouldn't let me just close up. I smacked my head down onto the counter.

"Rough day?" Levi asked, wiping his hands on his apron. I cracked a sly smile.

"Yeah," I sigh, standing up straight. "I've been around you for the past 8 hours."

He placed his hand over his heart. "Your words, they wound me, Mae."

"Whatever, just go finish cleaning the bowls so we can leave at 9," I shooed him away. He gave me a look as if he was mentally sassing me and I scowled at him. He picked up some bowls of various sizes and dropped them into the sink full of soapy water.

"So," he began and in groaned inwardly, already knowing where this was headed.

"No."

"What?"

"No," I repeated.

Levi stared at me with furrowed eyebrows. It'd been a few days since the "Dylan incident". The day after it happened I had a conference call with Kat and Levi, filling them in with the details, including the punch to Dylan's jaw (I wasn't a violent person nor do I condone it so I was well surprised that I did it).

"How do you know what I'm going to say?" He inquired, squinting at me. I squinted back.

"I know you too well. So no, I haven't talked to him."

"Why not?"

"Because he's a dick," I deadpanned.

"I stalked him on Facebook last night," he tells me, removing his apron. "He's really hot. Too bad he's a twat muffin."

I frowned. "Seriously?"

Levi shrugged. "Wanna catch a movie?"

"Sure. The new Maze Runner movie just came out, let's see that."

"Deal."

----

"Take me away, dry my eyes, bring color to my skies, my sweet little pill."

I swayed around my room to Troye Sivan with a towel around my head and in my pajamas. It was a little passed midnight and I'd gotten home about 30 minutes ago. After the movie, Levi and I stopped at McDonalds to get some comfort food. We talked for a while, about Levi's past and how his dad died when he was 12, along with many other things, which caused him to spiral into a hole of darkness.

I exhaled a large breath, collapsing on my bed. I stared at my ceiling, thinking about how Michael hadn't texted me since this morning. I grabbed my phone, looking at the texts I'd sent him throughout the day.

Michael❤️ (11:30 AM): i'm so tired fuck

Mae (11:32 AM): good thing about the tour being over is you can attempt to catch up on sleep
