Four years since my father died, two years since my fiancé found out I was a girl in the trenches. The war was over, Germany had lost due to its bad strategy at Hindenburg Line. They had to surrender and sign the Treaty of Versalliles. I France, United Kingdom, Italy, and the United States wanted the treaty, but Germany didn't. Germany had lost some of its land, had to pay the cost of war, and people distrusted Weimar Republic. Germany's overseas colonies became League of Nation Mandates and Danzig became a free city. Germany also had to concede territories to Belgium, Czechoslovakia, and Poland, Germany's army was reduced, and Alsace-Lorraine was returned back to France. The camp Melvin and I had been sent to most of the soldiers had died at least more than 5,142,631 men had died from my troop including my father, 8,528,831 had died on the other side from what I had heard. Father had died at war, he was a great father and soldier. I had introduced Melvin to my mother and she loves him. Mine and Melvin's family is coming back money wise and everything was coming back together. Melvin and I are getting married in July. The day my heart went to war was the day I found love and honor.
