And when she thought
it's the end, it was just another beginning.
'Cause she was in every prayer he uttered, no wonder how her broken heart was mended.

Chapter 16 :

I Was No More Lost

Zaara's POV

Few days later

As I completed the final round of tawaf, I offered two rakah salah infront of the Ka'bah next to maqam-e-Ibrahim. It felt beautiful. The place is so crowded, yet so peaceful.

The sight is so relieving that the mind is all free from any worries of this dunya. Alhamdulillah it feels so great to have been granted the opportunity to live this moment.

As I was done with my salah, I realized my family isn't anywhere around. I tried to look for them but they were no where.

I decided to sit infront of the Ka'bah, knowing they will search for me here.

Had it been some normal place, in this situation I would have panicked but being here it was a different story, I wouldn't regret being lost for sometime in this beautiful place.

As I sat on the stairs infront of the ka'bah , for sometime I kept looking at the beautiful sight infront of me, everyone from all over the world comes here just for the Almighty, isn't it beautiful?

After sometime, I took out the Quran from my handbag and starting reciting it. And after about reciting for an hour, I closed the Holy Book. I felt a sudden urge to drink water but then it hit me what if I leave and my family comes here searching for me so I decided not to go.

Two hours had gone by that I was sitting here and my family didn't come up. I was a bit worried by now. I decided to go and search for them.

" Zaara, where were you? I've been searching you for so long now?" I heard a familiar voice.

I looked up to see and to my surprise it was him.

It was Arhaan.

While I was still surprised wondering how is he here, he came forward and gave me a glass of water.

" Drink it, it's ZamZam."

I took it from him. it was much needed.

" Jazak Allah khair, if you hadn't come, I would have lost."

" I'm always there for you." He smiled.

I opened my eyes and to my shock, it was a dream, a beautiful dream. I realized there was still a smile on my face.

And I knew I have my answer.

I quickly got up and freshened myself up. After I was done, I sat on my bed thinking about the dream once again. A small smile made it's way on my lips. It was a beautiful dream.

" Aapiiiii, wake up!!!" Saad banged the door.

" I'm up already supergirl." I said ruffling his hair as I opened the door.

" Why do you do this aapi, don't you see I'm going to school?" Saad semi yelled and I laughed at my little brother.

" I don't like to talk to you, just that mum's calling you downstairs for breakfast." He added and quickly went away.

I followed him downstairs and sat on the dining table next to him while he shifted to another chair making me laugh all the more.

" Assalam alaikum " I greeted my parents with a smile.

" Walekum assalam Zaara, you aren't ready for college yet?" Dad asked as he read the newspaper sipping his tea.

"No dad, today I don't have any class." I replied taking sip of my coffee.

After Saad had had his breakfast, he went along with dad.

" Mum, I need to tell you something." After hesitating for a while, I decided to tell her.

" Yes, all okay?"

" Umm today.. " I was interrupted by a call on mum's phone.

" It's khadija again." Mum shook her head and answered the call.

All this while she has called so many times for an answer but at that time as the things weren't in favour, it was delayed.

Mum went to her room because I knew she avoided talking on the topic when I'm around.

Though rarely anyone talks about this but I know they are worried.

" So you were about to tell me something?" As I stood up to keep my plate in the kitchen, mum came back in the dining room and asked me to sit with her.

" Umm what did Khadija aunty call you for?" I hesitantly asked.

" What else can you expect? She's waiting for your decision." Mum rolled her eyes and added, " What did you have to tell me?"

" Umm. Actually .. do you remember I told you about Istikhara? "

" Yes I do, so?" Mum asked curiously.

" Umm. I had a dream." I said fidgeting with my fingers.

" What was it about ? Tell me."

" I was infront of Kaaba and I was lost and he found me." I lowered my gaze.
Too much of awkwardness.

" Zaara, this a very good sign." Mum sighed in relief.

" Yes, umm I don't know "

"All we want is your happiness. He asked for your hand infront of everyone, what else can prove someone's honesty? And we've always known their family, the reason why we hurried up when it was for Azlaan but if this is what Allah wants, we will go for this in sha Allah." Mum smiled

And now I know I'm lost no more.

Arhaan, I don't know when and how this name became beautiful to listen to.

And while I thought it's the end, it was just another beginning.

How beautiful it is, He may not give you want you want but definitely He will give you want you need, you just have to trust His timings and have patience.

Often when you least expect things, you are blessed with them and that's the beauty of having faith in the Almighty because He won't ever let you down no matter how lost you are.

You just have to be patient all this while because what's yours will eventually find it's way.

'Cause what's meant for you, will never miss you.
