No fucking answer! Well, she can’t avoid me forever. We have lessons together and I’ll tell her. Damn right I’ll tell her. I’ll tell her what the bitch has got coming. I’ll let her know what we’re planning and how much it’s going to hurt her. Her and her stupid friends.

‘You want a drink?’ I asked Josh.

‘I don’t think she keeps any cans.’ I strolled over to the fridge and helped myself. Suddenly, the door bashed again. It startled me.

‘Shit,’ I whispered. ‘Josh! Go get Jade and make sure she doesn’t give anything away!’ He jogged to the bathroom whiles I made it to the door. Casually, I swung it open and gave Keith a nice smile.

‘Hey.’ He greeted, walking in. Well it was his apartment. He shared with his sister. How lame. I let me brother stay with me only because I needed him, not because I wanted him there but soon I was hoping my feelings would change.

‘Where’s Jade?’ he asked slipping of his jacket.

‘She’s right here.’ Josh said, thankfully she looked presentable. The black rundown mascara was gone. Actually, all her make up was gone. She was bare.

‘Right then!’ I said clasping my hands together, ‘I’m going to take off now. Come on Josh, let’s go. I’ll call you later Jade.’ I smiled at her but when Keith turned his back I lifted my finger to lips. I mouth ‘Sh’. She knew if she told him she would be in trouble, she knew I held too much power over her. Power, I thought as we walked along the corridor and down the stairs. Power, it gave me everything. Control. Fear. Pain. I smiled at the thought. When we made it out the wind blew hard, leaves trailed across the floor as the lamplights lit the streets and roads. Then, something caught my eye. I started just to make sure, then look up at the building to see it labelled ‘The Coffee Shop.’ I grinned whiles nudging Josh.

‘Look what the cat dropped in.’ I said almost laughing. Josh’s eyebrows picked up. He looked at me, eye brows raised. I nodded slowly. He smiled. I grinned. We walked. I rubbed my palms together, keeps out the cold.

‘You go around the back of the street, I’ll take her front.’ I said, chuckling.

‘Meet you on the other side.’ Josh was just as excited as I was. My prey had come early this winter. I walked slowly, watching her every move. I made it around the backstreet and waited at the top corner that was leading onto the main street’s. The roads. Clever not to walk in the empty backstreets. Like she did last time. But last time there were more of us. Last time I wasn’t this hungry for revenge. Last time I’d been merciful. Taking my time, I counted seconds to when I should jump out. Luckily, there was no one around except for the few odds also walking, the roads only held a couple of cars. But I’d drag her into the backstreet. By her hair. I licked my lips at the thought. I pocked my head out the see Josh at the other end. She hadn’t noticed him. She hadn’t noticed me. Until now. She stopped dead in her tracks knowing what was coming to get her. I could see her chest move fast, harder. Her eyes panicked. Her hands trembled. She ran. In a second her back was facing me and her legs moved like cheetahs.  I swear I could smell her fear when she realised my brother was blocking the only exit. People were so fucking selfish today, that they couldn’t even see a woman in danger. They turned a blind eye. They’d pay too if I ever saw them again. I could here her now. I chuckled. She was trying to compromise with Josh. She still thought that my brother was the funny guy she loved so very much. How wrong she was about that now. I speed walked forward, gaining on her. She didn’t know how close I was getting to her. 1 step, 2 steps, 3 steps, 4 steps. I looked down at her, I only saw the back of her head but heard her clearly now as Josh pretended to listen. Then, he very slowly tilted his head up to look at me. His eyes were gleaming; I wasn’t sure if they were gleaming harder then mine. Cassidy’s breathing hitched higher. She knew. I couldn’t help but grin. Suddenly, she bolted past Josh but his arms came up pushing her back between the tight space between us.
