James' eyes closed tightly again, and in his mostly sleep deprived state, he couldn't stop the tears that slipped from behind his eyelids. Happy ones, of course, but tears all the same. His hand found Jake's and he held it tightly while the other moved to the side of his face slowly, leaning in to kiss his lips again, letting it linger while he exhaled against his lips. Whispering softly, he sniffled quietly. "You scared the fuck out of me, Jake," he admitted quietly, moving his fingers slowly through Jake's hair. Bringing his hand up to wipe at his eyes with the back of it, he looked back at Jake, waving his hand slowly. "I'm sorry, I'm just. Fuck, I'm so happy you're okay." He shook his head again, taking in a deep breath. "We um, we were in an accident. The bus flipped and you and Ben were both hurt pretty badly, but your'e both okay, we're all okay..."
Jake swallowed hard as his eyes slipped closed. He hadn't realized how close he'd come to dying & felt guilty for causing everyone, especially James to worry. He reached over, cupping James' face in his hands. "I'm sorry I worried you, baby" he opened his eyes, sighing softly as his eyes scanned the room at their friends, all sound asleep on the chairs, floors and the bed. "I don't remember anything. The last thing I remember is us going to bed" he said as he turned his attention back to his boyfriend. "But, I love you & I'm glad your face was one of the first I saw when I woke up...so, Ben's okay though, right?" He asked softly, needing to make sure he was okay too.
James didn't want to overload Jake with information, he didn't want to scare him or freak him out, and he definitely didn't want him to feel bad for it. Shaking his head slightly, he smiled, laying his hand against Jake's face gently. "Don't apologize. You're here, you're alive, that's all I'm worried about," he assured him. Leaning closer to press another kiss to Jake's lips gently, he closed his eyes for a second. "I love you. And Ben's okay. He's a little out of it on the morphine, but he's okay."
Meanwhile, Ben stirred slightly from his sleep, his breath quickening when he felt a body lying next to him. Fluttering his eyes open slowly, he froze in his position. The man beside him looked vaguely familiar, but he couldn't quite place him, and as gorgeous as he was, Ben wanted answers. Shaking the sleeping frame slightly, he waited until Danny's eyes were fluttering to ask. "Who are you and why are you in my bed?"
Jake nodded slightly, thankful that everyone seemed to be okay. Part of him thought they might should wake the others, let them know he was okay. But, in all honesty, he was rather enjoying this time alone with James. Even though he was in a hospital bed. Surrounded by people. With Andy snoring in his ear. He smiled softly as he looked at James. "You weren't hurt, were you?" He asked softly, biting gently at his lower lip.
Danny shook his head, laughing as he looked at his husband "I'm your pool boy" he teased, wiggling his eyebrows, not realizing Ben was far from joking. "How are you feeling, gorgeous?" He asked finally, stretching his arms above his head.
James was actually thankful for the quiet time together, almost positive that they wouldn't get much of it in the days to come, what with both their bands lingering around and all. Shaking his head slightly, he glanced down. "No, I'm fine," he promised, though he'd decided against telling anyone about the splitting headache he'd had since the wreck. Bringing Jake's hand up to kiss the back of it, he laid against the pillow, sighing softly. "We were all so worried..."
Ben furrowed his eyebrows slightly, leaning back on the bed while he looked over Danny. "Like I've been hit by a train. I don't have a pool, where are we?" He questioned, looking around a little more frantically.
Jake grinned at James as he attempted to slide in closer to the drummer. "Ouch" he started, shutting his eyes tight "remind me to never do that again" he said, laughing slightly as he looked over the drummer "are you sure?" He asked softly, needing to make absolutely sure James was okay. He sighed softly, frowning at his words. "I'm really sorry I scared you, baby."
Danny raised an eyebrow, noting Ben's behavior was very unlike Ben. Usually, when Danny made a statement like that, one of two things would have happened. Either he'd have played along, or smacked him. He sat up in the bed, looking at Ben with concern. "Baby," he started, "you're in the hospital. Our bus wrecked a couple days ago and you got hurt pretty bad"
James winced slightly as Jake tried to move, shaking his head a little. Moving closer instead of making Jake move, he pressed up against him gently, mindful of the cuts that may have been a little sore still. He smiled softly, closing his eyes while his fingers curled into Jake's. "I'm sure. You don't need to apologize, love. It wasn't your fault," he assured him, peeking one eye open while he leaned closer, kissing his lips slowly.
Ben pushed himself weakly until he was sitting up, looking over at Danny with wide eyes. "You need to go," he suggested, nodding toward the door. He wasn't sure who this man was, but he was obviously a little too comfortable with Ben than Ben was with him. "I mean, don't get me wrong, you're gorgeous and if we fucked, I'll call it a personal win, but there's no need for you to stick around."
Jake glanced at his side when he heard a groan coming from the other side of the bed. He turned his head to the side, laughing when he noticed it was Adam, trying to get comfortable in the bed. Turning his attention back to James he took a deep breath "why do I get the feeling your not telling me something?" He asked softly, "like something happened and you don't want me to know"
Danny then realized Ben wasn't joking. He really didn't know who he was. He slid off the bed slowly "Ben" he started, walking around to the other side of the bed "baby, I'm your husband. I love you" he said, pressing the call button for the nurse. He jumped slightly when a loud voice came through the speaker. "Can someone come in here? There's something wrong with my husband"
James looked up when Jake called him out, and he shook his head slightly, offering a small smile. "I just don't want to overload you or anything, I don't want to scare you or freak you out about what happened," he explained. He was having a hard time not just throwing caution to the wind and showering Jake with affection, reminding him over and over how happy he was, how much he loved him.
Ben pressed himself back against the wall, looking over Danny with wide eyes. He was suddenly scared, having been almost positive that he was just coming back from a drunken blackout, but it was a little more obvious that this wasn't just some stupid prank. He breathed quickly, looking around again for an exit, but the railing on the bed made it a little more difficult to get away. "No. No, I don't even know you!" He shouted loudly, pulling the blanket up to cover himself quickly.
