James watched in a daze as the scene unfolded, curling into himself while he pulled his knees up and hugged them tightly, pressing his face against his thighs to hide behind them.

Andy looked down at the phone, putting it on speaker for Matt to hear as well. "Sam? Sam, what's going on? Are you guys okay?" He questioned quickly. His hands shook a little when he fully realized that it was Sam answering Danny's phone and not Danny, and the worst immediately crossed his mind.

Danny didn't bother looking up, the tears still streaming down his cheeks. He'd never felt so lost in his entire life and while he wanted so desperately to believe what Cameron was saying, he couldn't get Ben's face out of his head. That once beautiful face, bloody and bruised. He'd never really considered what he'd do if anything ever happened to Ben, and now it seemed to be all he could think about. He let his eyes slip closed as he jerked away from Cameron's touch, leaning back. He took in a shaky breath as he brought his hands up once more to cover his face.

Sam extended an arm, lightly running across James back as he tried to regain his composure. He took a shaky breath as he shook his head. "Andy, it's bad" he started, glancing at Cameron. The last thing he wanted to do was tell Andy anything over the phone, but right now, he reevaluate didn't have a choice. "We're on our way to the hospital now...." His voice trailed off as tears threatened to spill at any moment.

Cameron sat back when Danny jerked away from him, and while normally he'd have been offended, he couldn't really blame him. He couldn't even imagine what Danny was going through right then, and he didn't want to. He closed his eyes slowly, scrubbing his hands over his face. As the paramedics closed up the back of the ambulance, two took their places inside while one leaned in to examine his side. Explaining that they weren't sure how deep the glass went, if it had hit any major arteries or anything, they didn't want to remove it, so instead Cameron lifted his shirt to let them bandage his waist with gauze wrapped tightly around it to stabilize the glass and keep it from moving any deeper.

James leaned against Cameron slowly, looking up when he mentioned Andy's name. His breath caught in his throat, and just as he was about to compose himself, he lost it all over again. He hadn't considered that someone needed to tell them, that they'd find out eventually, and someone had to be the one to break the news to them. While he was immensely thankful for Sam, he felt a pang of guilt at not being the one to do it.

Andy's stomach sank and his eyes closed tightly while he slid down the wall to sit on the floor. "Where's Jake?" He questioned, scared to hear the answer, figuring that if something weren't badly wrong, they'd have already handed off the phone. While he was worried about his friends, Jake took priority in his mind.

Danny opened his eyes slowly, immediately feeling guilty for jerking away from Cameron. He moved over slightly, resting his head lightly against his shoulder, careful not to hit his side as he did so. He hadn't been paying attention to much of anything when he finally realized sam was talking to someone. He took in a shaky breath as the ambulance started, pulling off as the paramedic left in back checked them all over.

Sam's eyes moved to Cameron when he noticed the glass in his side. He gasped slightly, almost forgetting he was on the phone. Shaking his head, he gripped the phone tightly, clearing his throat "jakes one of the ones hurt, Andy" he said, a few tears managing to slip down his cheeks. "I can't really tell you anything else right now because that's all we know. Jake & Ben were rushed to the hospital and the rest of us are following behind"

Matt wasted no time in hurrying to his husbands side. He sat next to him on the floor, swallowing hard as he waited for news on their friends. "Baby, is jake okay?" He asked softly, hoping for the best.

Cameron looked up when Sam gasped, realizing for the first time that he'd been previously unaware of the injury. Swallowing hard, he shook his head slightly to assure him that he was fine, despite the gradual weakening of his muscles as blood seeped down his side, soaking the side of his pants. He leaned back against the side of the ambulance, closing his eyes slowly. He felt tired in a way that he'd only felt once before, and the reminder of how scared Sam had been had him forcing his eyes open again.

James listened to the conversation from one side, bringing his hands up and into his hair while his head ducked. Gripping it tightly, he flung his leg out, kicking the opposing bench roughly while he gave a loud, angry yell of a curse. He didn't understand why things kept happening to them, why they ALWAYS happened to them, but he was so tired of the tests and trials that they seemed to be forced into.

Andy shook his head slightly at Matt's question, holding the phone tightly to his ear. "Let me know what hospital you're at as soon as you can, please." He requested before hanging up to stare absently at the floor. "They're on their way to the hospital. Jake and Ben were rushed to the hospital and they're hurt, but they don't know anything else," he explained quietly, picking at his phone cover nervously.

Danny looked up when James screamed, causing him to jump slightly. It was obvious they were all on edge right now. They all needed answers, and why was this taking so long? His eyes focused on the window, wishing they'd get there already. His finger mindlessly played with the band on his finger.
