Hello readers! Sorry for a late update anyway read the story;)
Sara's POV
I wake up, hearing the beeping noise of the heart monitor. I hear sobs I turn around but wince due to the excess light entering through my pupils.
"Robert, why are you crying? What happened?"
"Oh...you are awake! Finally Sara! I...missed...you.. so...much...." He tells me between his sobs.
"But why are you crying? Did anything happen?"
He gets up from his place and sits on my bed, near my head. He takes my hand and says
"I thought I lost my dearest friend. I thought people who I care about always end up hurting. And so I was crying. But now don't worry I am happy you are back."
He sighs. The silence between is continues like forever until he again speaks.
"Sara I had a family whom I loved dearly. I lost them. It was my fault though. I don't want any of my close people to leave me again. You have grown close to me. "
"Thanks Robert for letting me know I have someone who cares about me so much. I feel comfortable around you which I don't feel around anyone due to my father. Thank you....Robert..thank you so much."I feel tears running down my cheek and I wipe them immediately.
"Sara, we both are broken isn't it? Though I am due to my own fault. Sara I never wanted live in this world until you came. You are a ray of hope. You are my..... Bestfriend."
Best friend? Well I didn't expect that. Anyway.
"You are my ray of hope too Robert. You are my best friend too." I say smiling. He hugs me and I hug him back.
It feels so good.....
A knock on the door brings us to reality and we immediately apart. Its granny. She enters with a sad face. I decide to lighten the tense situation and so squeal with a happy face, being the humorous person I am sometimes.
"GGGGRRRRAAAANNNNYYYYY"
She chuckles and squeals back like a little girl "SSSAAARRRAAA"
Robert gives a irritated look, but anyways I can see him hiding a smile.
She sits on the other side of the bed and her first instinct is to kiss my forehead.
Robert draws some random pattern at my back. But when he touches my neck part I immediately scream in pain.
"Sorry... I am sorry. Did it hurt? Are you okay? I am sorry. I really am...."
"I am fine"
He sighs and walks out of the door. Mean the while Granny cracks some hilarious jokes to which I laugh so loudly that literally my stomach hurts.
A realization strikes my mind and I immediately ask granny "After I leave the hospital am I going back to Luke...umm.. I mean dad?" I wince on the word DAD.
"No....obviously not... You are going to stay with us until we have some arrangements done."
"Thank god" I sigh in relief.
"Look I am so intelligent!" Granny nearly screams in my ears making me laugh again
God this old woman. She is awesome.
My thoughts are interrupted by knocking on the door and immediately opening the door. I see my friends entering the room with bouquets and Shauna and Anna nearly cry their lungs off... And Alan enters with a sad and angry face.
"If you ever had any issues why didn't you inform us?" Alan speaks.
Tear rolls down cheeks. But I am still confused about what is happening.
Who told them about this? Did Robert tell them? But why?
