Chapter 8

Patricia's POV

"Well?" I asked getting impatient.

"Um-" Nina said as she began thinking to herself.

"Okay fine, Fabian and I were out walking last night an-"

"Wait. Did you say you and Fabian were out walking last night?" I asked trying to keep my laugh in.

"I know right. He never goes out at night unless its a mystery or something."

We both laughed and Nina continued talking.

"Anyway, we were walking and we saw a shadow heading our way. So we hid behind a bush. And you'll never believe who it was."

"Who?" I asked, almost screaming.

"Uh, Patricia, Nina, what are you doing?" Asked Mrs. Darren from behind her desk.

"You're not in the same group teams. Please return back to your teammates."

We both sighed and walked back over to our desks.

"Later." I mouthed to Nina while walking away.

"So what was that about?" Asked Eddie when I sat down.

"Just some girl talk." I replied.

"You and girl talk shouldn't go in the same sentence Yacker."

I playfully punched him in the arm and we both began laughing.

"But no seriously, what was it?" He said as he finished laughing.

"Nothing. Don't worry about it." I assured him.

He sighed and looked over at Chase.

"You really think I'm like him Yacker?" He asked with a grouchy look on his face.

I looked over at Chase.  

"I meant last year Weasel. He's just so unenthusiastic like you were."

"And so do you think I look like him? I mean I really don't want you to say yes because if I do, then there's a chance you might be interested in him."

"Oh get over yourself Doofus." I replied.

It was lunch time and I ran over to Fabian and Nina before Eddie could catch me. I didn't want to lie to him again, I felt sick to my stomach every time I did.

"Nina!" I screamed as I ran over to her and Fabian as they headed over to the common room.

"I'll continue once we get to the common room. I'm starving." She replied.

We sat down and Nina began explaining everything.

Eddie's POV

"Yacker!" I screamed as I began looking for her when the bell rung.  

Where did she run off to so fast?

I started asking people I didn't know for her. Some of them either didn't know her or just couldn't be bothered answering.

I was just about to enter the common room when I found Yacker sitting with Nina and Fabian whispering.

"So what you're saying is that you guys saw that Lilian girl talking to someone on the phone about a key and she's gonna find it?" Patricia asked Nina.
