It was surprising that the most attention people gave my egg was some strange glances here and there. I had almost gotten away with bringing an egg into my chambers without being questioned.

But then, of course, Merlin had to ruin it.

Merlin walked right up to me, clearly upset "Beatrice, I need to talk to you right now. It's-" he looked down at my egg "What is that?"

I blanked "It's... an egg?"

"I know that. What I meant was why do you have it?"

"Dinner?"

Merlin shrugged "Whatever. Anyway, I need to talk to you. It's urgent."

"What do you mean?"

"Just come with me to my chambers. We'll talk about it there."

We walked to Merlin's chambers in silence, Merlin getting more and more cross with each passing second.

Finally, we walked into his chambers, and I could immediately smell the familiar stench of boiling concoctions.

Merlin turned to face me "Someone's trying to steal my job."

I gave him a look "Honestly, Merlin? Who would try to steal your job?"

"Hey, people would love to have a job in the palace. Anyway, His name is Cedric, and I think he's up to something."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, Cedric doesn't just want my job, he wants something else. He has a secret plan, and stealing my job is just a part of it."

"You're just paranoid, Merlin. Go on and get some rest."

"That's what Arthur said." He grumbled as he laid down on his bed.

I walked out of his chambers, and went into my own. I put my egg on the top of my dresser, and laid down. I hadn't had any dreams ever since the one about Guinevere, so I thought I would try to take a nap.

It was a big mistake.

Camelot was in ruins.

People were screaming, things were set ablaze, and the Knights of Camelot were fighting some sort of giant beast.

No, not a beast.

A dragon.

Kilgarrah.

He was flying away from Camelot. I immediately started chasing after him.

"Kilgarrah!" I screamed "Please, don't do this!"

He landed "Beatrice, you don't understand. Being locked up for twenty years. Being isolated for twenty years. Watching as all my kind was destroyed. King Uther and all of Camelot must pay for what they did to me."

"No, I understand completely! I watched as my mom was killed by a knight of Camelot! And after my father was killed, I felt isolated! I lost my own family, my own kind! But I've learned to forgive! And you must learn to forgive as well!"

"That's not even remotely close to the pain I endured for twenty years. I will never forgive them for what they've done to me."

"Please! This is my home! I-I love it here! Please!"

"I'm sorry, but Camelot must pay."

I fell to my knees and sobbed into my hands "P-Please! William's still in Camelot! H-He can't get hurt!"

"I don't care about him, or any of them. Goodbye, Beatrice." And he flew back into Camelot.

"No!" I sobbed.

I woke up with a start.

The only thought that came to my mind was this: Who set Kilgarrah free?

What kind of an idiot would do something so rash and stupid? Would they not realize the consequences that would come?

Well, what if the dragon wasn't set free? What if he just escaped on his own?

Impossible. The chains are too strong. Someone had to have let him free.

If only I could warn whoever it was. If only the dreams could show me who it was.

The whole thing just made my blood boil.

Camelot was going to be destroyed, and there was nothing I could do to prevent it.
