Chapter 2

I walked slowly ready to shoot anything in my path. I held my bow tightly and looked around. A little rabbit hopped through the woods as happy as he could ever be. I released my grip as the arrow went straight to its head. I gave myself a little pat on the back and picked up the rabbit as I headed home. It was a short walk to my little home. I quickly started a fire and started to prepare my dinner. As the rabbit cooked I grabbed an apple and a glass to get some water. I pumped some water and rinsed my apple. I got a plate and a knife and fork as my food was ready I sat down next to the fire and ate as it turned dark. I poured water around my fire to keep my fire from spreading. I pumped more water and took a shower. I quickly washed my clothes the best I could with a old toothbrush and hung them to dry. I did a quick clean up and fell asleep quickly as I heard the crackling of the fire.

I woke up and got dressed. I planned to make a run today. I was getting low on ammo and I need a box of matches and some lighter fluid. I could also use a new pair of clothes and some more canned food. I packed a bag and grabbed my weapons as I headed out.
