new home part 2

I suddenly woke up to the sounds d laughter. At first it startled me but I soon got absorbed the sound comfort. I wiped my eyes and got off my bed in my room in the back of the store. I walked to the bathroom and looked myself in the mirror. I was skinny. Too skinny. My hair was greasy. My face was sunk in and covered in smudges of dirt. I grabbed my other only clean pair of clothes from the store. I grabbed shampoo and conditioner and body wash. I ran a shower and immediately jumped into the hot steaming water. I washed my hair and body and dtrrped out wrapping a towel around me, drying off, and putting on my clothes. I grabbed my small bag and grabbed my deodorant out and applied. I brushed my hair for the first time in months and braise it into 2 French braids. I put on my black boots and took a last glance at myself in the mirror. My goal was to gain some weight. I was unhealthy skinny. But I walked into the middle of the stire with everyone else. They were laughing at Judith and Daryl making faces. I joined them. We were then passed a can of fruit for breakfast. Today we were gonna start working. Is a going to start hunting with Daryl and Joel in the woods. Everyone else was working on a new project. We patched up the hole in the ceiling and got a ton of soil. We started planting vegetables and fruits in the roof to help out with our good situation. We said  goodbyes as I grabbed my bow and arrows and my shotgun. We walked behind the store taking out 2 walkers. We walked for what seemed like hours. Until Daryl signaled us to a stop. There were 3 deer. Eating the corn I had set out last night. We all quickly took them out and carried them back. We knew this would help out a lot and we could start focusing on stocking up for winter with hunts like this. When we got back I went to go check the Apple tree. I got about 15 apples. Then I saw something amazing. A rooster and a hen in a cage. I wasn't going to shoot them. I was going to take them to the group. We could finally have another source of food! I sprinted to the group to show them my find. Rick built a steady coop and we feed them some corn. I figured I had helped out plenty today so I went to go do laundry for the group. Not hard since wr had a washer and a dryer. I finished up the laundry and started slicing Apple's for Judith. I cut a Apple for her and feed her the snack and we played with her new stuffed animal. She soon grew tired and fell asleep. I carefully put her in her bed and went to bring the group Apple's and water for a lunch break. They were all on 5th roof working on the garden. They all see me fairly excited about the lunch. We all decided that we would stock out freezers full of food since winter was coming soon. We thought about doing more hunts a day for better results. That was the new plan. We would actually survive. We worked amd worked through the day and all had deer for dinner. We all laughed and jokes. We felt like a family. I love thhe feeling of the group. We all tucked away and went to sleep for the night.
