Being Rogue

Chapter 9

We walked down stairs together talking and came walking happily into the kitchen. I went over and sat down on Jay’s lap, where as Annie went and hugged Richie. Just as I sat down, the phone rang. I got up then walked into the living room and picked up the phone.

“Hello?” A familiar masculine voice asked.

“Alpha Thomas? How can I help you?”

“Can you get my daughter to meet me at our house please? I have some explaining to do.”

“Too right you have.” I scoffed. “What time?”

“At one please. Thank you.” He hung up the phone so I put the phone down too and walked back into the kitchen.

“Who was it?” Jay asked, coming up to me and wrapping his arms around my waist.

“It was Alpha Thomas. He wants to meet you at one Annie.” Her head snapped up to look at me and gave me a panicked look. “I’ll come too, don’t worry.” She smiled at me in thanks, which I returned, and rested her head on Richard’s chest.

I was downstairs with Jayden watching T.V on his lap, whilst Annie and Richie were upstairs, obviously up to something. Once I had told Annie about the meeting, even though she looked relaxed, worry was obvious in her eyes. Poor girl. She was nervous as hell. I didn’t blame her, I would be too if that had happened with my dad. Luckily though, things were going to get cleared up. Alpha Thomas had some explaining to do, so once he had done, all of this would be cleared up and they’d be happy again. But wait….. Would that mean that Annie was going to go back to her Pack? Go back to her house and leave Richie here without her? I had no idea what she was going to do, but I did know that whatever she did, she’d do it because she both wanted to and felt like it was right.

One o’clock finally came and we were leaving the house in our car. Jay had told me that if anything bad happened, to contact him or Richard through the bond straight away. Weren’t they cute being all protective?

“You going to be okay doing this Annie?” I asked as we pulled up at the house.

“Yeah. Just don’t leave me okay?” She sighed. I nodded, then we both got out and walked up to the door. It opened two minutes later by her mum standing there with a wide yet sad smile on her face. Annie ran into her mums arms and they hugged for a good few minutes before breaking apart.

“Hello again Mrs Thomas. It’s nice to see you.” I smiled.

“Call me Cassie, dear.” She smiled whilst pulling me into a hug. Well, I wasn’t expecting this. Aha. “Come in. Please come in. William’s waiting in his office.” We smiled in thanks then walked down to his office, knocked, then walked in. The first thing that the Alpha did was run up to his daughter and hug her tightly.

“I’m so sorry Annie. I shouldn’t have kicked you out. I’m sorry baby.” He cried. When they finally pulled back, William sat us down and told us the story behind his hatred for rogues.
