We spent the rest of the day catching up with David and filling him in about things and the people here. When me and Annie told the boys about Hazel, Tyrone and our plan, they were more than willing to help out, especially Dave. He always had loved annoying people, so as soon as I mentioned making Tyrone jealous, he was all for it. He was going to get in serious trouble one day if he wasn’t careful. Which truthfully he never was.

“Annie? Go call and Hazel. I have an idea.” I instructed. She gave me a slightly confused look, but did as she was told anyway. “Dave, how do you feel about joining our school?”

“Depends on what’s in it for me?” He asked raising an eyebrow at me.

“The joy of annoying people.” I laughed.

“Then I’m all up for it.” He smirked.

There was a knock on the door ten minutes later, so I got up from Jay’s lap and went to answer the door. I opened the door to see one of Barbie’s minions standing there popping her gum. How the hell does she know where we live?

“Annie! Come here!” I called. She came up behind me instantly and I head a low growl slip from her.

“What do you want Kerry?” She snapped.

“I think you’re looking for the Omega?” She suggested pointing behind her. We looked around her and saw Hazel soaking wet on the floor with Mindy kicking her and pulling her hair. What made it worse was that her own mate was sitting in the car watching. Annie and I ran over there, then as I grabbed Mindy and threw her away, Annie helped Hazel up and took her indoors.

“You bloody cow. Back off and leave her alone.” I said in a deathly low voice. She shivered slightly in fear, but then straightened herself out and growled at me.

“Don’t tell me what to do you mutt!” She shrieked. “What are you gunna do about it huh? She’s the Omega. Everyone’s above her!”

“Nobody is above her. The only dirt here is you.” I spat. “You disgust me and all of my family. Never touch Hazel again or you’ll have to handle me, my family, the Alpha, and her lame excuse of a mate if he gets any brains soon enough.” I warned with a pointed look at Tyrone, who just looked at me confused. Stupid man - whore. I punched Mindy in the face, then turned and went back indoors.

I told the guys about what had happened before running upstairs and going into the guest room where Annie was sitting on the bed with some spare clothes.

“Where’s Hazel?” I asked.

“She’s cleaning herself up in the shower.” She answered me frowning. I sighed and sat down on the bed next to her. Poor girl. She’s had to put up with this for years, and might still have to. This couldn’t keep happening, and Tyrone couldn’t keep letting this happen. Even if he didn’t know about her being his mate, they have natural instincts to protect and defend them. Not sit there and just watch it happen. Didn’t he know about mates? How you felt when you met yours? The signs when you’ve found your mate? Wasn’t he taught this? Everyone is always, told everything about mates. Whether it’s by your parents, siblings or friends. I’d have to ask him about it or get one of the guys to.
