The Nightmare. (Niam)

The five boys stepped out onto the stage, all with gushing tears on their cheeks as they raised their microphones for their final song, their final song as a band together.

They all joined for the final verse of little things before their arms dropped down beside themselves, their dull faces staring off towards the large crowd that sat silent.

The spot light shined down on Louis' tanned skin and chestnut hair, as his lips quivered, his hand shaking as the words he tried to speak refused to come out.

"A-As some of you may know, this is the final time One Direction will be seen on this stage together, the final time we'll all be together as one" Louis rushed out before he leaned into Harry's shoulder, tears rolling down his cheeks,

"We would like to say our final goodbyes to all of our fans today, we would like to say a massive thank you for getting us to where we are now, living our dream we all once dreamed of" Harry added, supporting the unstable Louis as the spotlight dropped on Zayn.

"One Direction will always linger around us forever, we were the boyband that had the crazy fans that crashed weddings and birthday parties, the fans that got us from the X factor to the top of charts in under a year, we never believed we'd become so big"

"One day I know, I'll think back to this day and be reminded by how truly and utterly fantastic we had it, the things we did, the places we went, and the history we made, not only that but the people we meant along the way, but also the four brothers we all got linked to on that one show we all still thank this very day" Liam added, his hair tangled together and his legs weak as he sat on his stool beside a sobbing Niall.

" the days the fans broken the twitter network, crashed my brothers wedding and had many agruments over which bromance would come out at the end" Niall gushed, his fingers linking into Liam's as he tried not to fall of his stool, "Niam, Niam is real guys" Niall sobbed out.

That was the final time One Direction sat on that stage, spoke those words before they all sat around Liam's bed in his room, Niall curled up beside him clutching his shirt.

"Don't leave me" he sobbed, trying to shake the sick boy awake, his bright blue eyes glance up at Zayn who was trying to unclutching his fingers.

"Leave him" Liam spoke, his fingers linking into Niall's as he counted the clicks on the heart machine sitting by his bed.

"Just let him be" Liam croaked, trying to pull the small mask away from his face "he'll never understand until I'm gone, just let him be" he cried out, trying to rub Niall's back gently.

Louis had hold of Liam and Niall's two year old adopted son, the small blonde snuggled into Louis' neck as he swayed his hips, trying to stop himself from crying.

"Let me hold him...please" Liam begged, his weak arms stretched out as he waited for Louis to give him the boy "it's the last time I'm ever going to get to hold him anyway, atleast he doesn't understand" Liam muttered playing with the boys soft fringe, his breathing uneven as his broken eyes scanned over the three dull faces thats stood at the foot of his bed.

"You make sure you take extra care of my boys won't you" Liam spoke, his bottom lip quivering as he relax into his bed, his arms holding Riley close and head leaning against Niall's.

"Don't let Niall do anything stupid" Liam spoke out, his brown eyes fluttering closed for the last time, his tears staining his cheeks.

"Don't let anybody hurt them" he choked out, taking Niall's hand, the sobbing blonde hiccuping as he tried to catch his breath.

"I love you guys" he breathed, the machine beside his bed beeping loudly, as his heart beat slowed.

As soon as they all heard the long line, they all broke down, Harry hitting the timber floor boards as his knees went weak, Zayn gently took Riley out of Liam's lose grip, and Louis tried to get Niall to let go.

"Niall he's gone...come on" Louis pleaded, tears rolling down his cheeks once he saw Niall's blue eyes stare up at him.

"He's in a better place" Zayn added, as Louis scooped Niall up, the blonde limb and unable to control himself.

"I miss him already"

Niall felt a pair of hands on his cheeks, his blue eyes catching the stare of a concerned Liam.

"What happened?" Liam asked, straddling Niall's hips gently.

"Y-you died, one direction broke up, I-it" he stuttered, before bringing Liam for a deep kiss, not giving him a chance to say a thing.

"Don't you ever leave me" Niall ordered, holding Liam's neck loosely, before he felt a small pair of hands on his cheeks.

"Hey Riley...what are you doing awake so early?" Niall asked, letting the boy slip inbetween the two.

"He has nightmares just like you Niall" Liam laughed, rubbing the two years olds head gently.

"But your stuck with me for a little while longer babe, no more tears Kay?" Liam asked, rubbing Niall's cheeks.
