Chapter 11// Scared but still need answers

Calum's pov:
I woke up tired like really tired since I didn't get sleep last night thinking about what Emberlynn told me. I was scared and I couldn't sleep cause whenever I tried to sleep I had a nightmare and would wake up after every few minutes. Tonight I'm gonna go there again, I told Emberlynn I'm gonna to be going to see her again plus I still need answers.

"What the f**k is up with Cal? He's still asleep isn't he normally like the second one up" I heard Michael say. "Just cause you woke up earlier doesn't mean you could comment about the people who normally wake up before you" Ashton replies to Michael. "Actually, I woke up the same time I usually wake up so Cal's being the sleepy head in this case" Michael replied back to Ashton. "Maybe, he didn't get much sleep last night, why are you so bothered if he wakes up after you anyways?" I heard Ashton tell Michael that. "He's up to something I can just sense it" Michael said.

When I finally managed to get myself out of bed I went to the kitchen to see what I could have for breakfast. "Cal, why'd you get up so late today?" Michael questions me. "Because I had a nightmare and I couldn't get back to sleep after that so I didn't get much sleep at night so I woke up late" I answered him. "Oh okay that's a nice story" He says and then I say "It's not something I made up, it's the truth." "Stop lying Cal, you know it's difficult to lie to me of all people" he says. "Why would you think I'm lying when you don't even know the truth?" I say defending myself. "I have a feeling you did something you're not supposed to do" Michael said to me. "Well maybe I did" I said walking to my room and locking myself in.

I sat on my bed looking out of my window; I wanted to see if I could see Emberlynn; to see if I would be able to go there, but no I couldn't see anything as it was way too dark. I really wanted to go there now but I'm not sure if I can because I have to admit that I'm a bit scared to go there after what she had told me. I need to know when those kidnappers are out of sight before I go there again.

I sat on my bed doing nothing but I was thinking about stuff like about the kidnappers and stuff like that but something puzzled me I needed to know something else. Was Emberlynn the kidnapper's daughter or was she kidnapped? I'm so confused right now. Another thing that confuses me a lot is, why the neighbours didn't give us a reason not to go there? Was it because they didn't wanna tell us because they thought it was too bad or something else? Anyways I'm gonna ask Emberlynn all this but it's gonna take time.

When the coast was clear and everyone was asleep I snuck out of my room and went to the house next to mine. I was a bit scared but I still needed answers as I was burning with curiosity, it's like how some people might say curiosity killed the cat, even though I'm not a cat. I really need answers and I need at least one answer now.

When I reached over there I knocked on the door and hoped that no kidnappers would open the door the only person who I wanted to see open the door was Emberlynn.

I had to admit I was really scared and also anxious to know the answers to my questions which only leave me more curious about everything.

I'm really scared that I'm gonna get caught. I don't want anyone to know I'm at Emberlynn's house. I really don't know what everyone is gonna think of me if they see me here but there's no turning back now I need the answers to my questions. Emberlynn is the only person who could answer my questions so I need to see her.

I quietly knocked on the door but loud enough for someone from inside to hear it. The night was cold and I was shivering not just because it was cold but also because I was scared; I was scared that a kidnapper would open the door.

The door opened but luckily it was only Emberlynn and not any of those kidnappers. We sat down on the balcony. "So, what was it you wanna ask me?" She asked me. "I wanna know why the neighbours warn people not to come here but don't give them any proper reasons?" I said.

"Well, um...." she started. "You can continue" I reassure her. "The kidnappers threatened them, they told them that if they ever tell anyone that they are dangerous they would find out who said it and kill them" She explained. "That's a stupid thing to do, why would they do that?" I asked her.

"You should leave now they'll be back soon it's almost 5:00 am" she said looking down to her watch. I took a deep breath and gulped and said "so I'll see you tomorrow" "Okay, I guess, I'll see you tomorrow, bye" she said. "Bye" I said back and then I left.
