Chapter 20// Plan in action

Calum's pov:
I somehow managed to get my head off my pillow. I went to the bathroom to get washed up and ready for the day. Then I went to the kitchen to make myself some breakfast. "Hi, morning Cal" Ashton greets me when he sees me in the kitchen. "Hi morning Ash" I replied. "You ready to put the plan in action today" He asks me. "Um... I guess so" I replied. I ate my breakfast and left the kitchen.

Michael woke up the minute I stepped inside my room. He had been there from last night he fell asleep on the couch. "Morning Cal, when did you wake up?" He greets me and asks me a question. "Morning Mikey only a few minutes ago" I replied.

Luke's pov:
My task in the plan is the easiest all I have to do is call the cops and what about Calum's and Michael's task you may ask um I would say they're kinda tough I mean what's worse than being locked in a house with kidnappers. I feel scared for their lives we should have thought of an easier plan.

I feel guilty having the easy task and making them get stressed out about how they're gonna do their tasks.

Ashton's pov:
Calum didn't sound like he was ready to do his bit in the plan. I totally understand why, I sure wouldn't be prepared too.

I think I should give them as much time they need to prepare themselves for the task.

I'm not that afraid of doing my task since I only have to lock them in.

Michael's pov:
I can't wait for this whole plan thing to be done. I can't sleep without thinking about it. I'm afraid of what's going to happen. I'm tired of pretending that I'm not afraid of doing it. I think I'm going to talk to Calum and see how he feels about it too.

"Hi Cal" I said to Calum. "Hi Mikey, what's up?" He replied. "Nothing much, I was just wondering if you're ready to do your task in the plan" I said. "To be honest, I don't think I'm ready, but I wouldn't delay doing it any longer since it might never get done if I keep delaying it" he says. "I'm not ready either, but I really want to finish it so that I'll have less of a weight on my shoulders" I reply. "Yeah I feel that way too, it's better to finish it today" he replied.

Calum's pov:
I can't wait any longer I need to do it now I just hope the others are ready.

I went to the living room where all of them were "um... I was wondering if we could start our plan now?" I tell them. "Are you sure you're already ready?" Michael asks. "Yep I am" I say. "Let's not rush to do it Cal, we still need to get stuff ready" Ashton tells me. "Okay I'll wait a bit" I replied.

"Are we ready yet?" I ask impatiently, "We can't drag it much later on" I add. "We're almost ready" Luke says. "We just need to do a little more now" Ashton tells me.

After a few minutes it was time to put our plan in action. I could feel myself getting goosebumps, my body shaking and my heart beat beating faster than usual.

I pretended to go for a walk around the street when I actually only walked a few steps away from Emberlynn's house. I then walked up to the house. My body was still shaking with fear. I knocked on the door and said "guys I'm back" I could hear their creepy voices chit chattering stuff to each other, one of them opened the door and violently pulled me in.

The next thing I know I'm face to face with the kidnappers trying to be the furthest away from them I can. They try to hurt me and knock me out but I'm doing my best to resist them. Emberlynn notices me and she too helps so that they won't hurt me "Don't hurt him" she shouts. "Aw looks like someone's defending her boyfriend" One of them says making the other laugh awkwardly. I somehow managed to spit out a "We're not dating". Which made their eyes stare at me. They forced me to help Emberlynn with the work. Now I'm just waiting for Michael to help me out here and do his bit.

Michael's pov:
It was coming to my bit in the plan and to be honest I'm so f**cking scared about doing it. But I need to do it now since Calum's already there doing his part of the task.

I walked up to the door and as the door opened said "I'm looking for my friend he's supposed to be back by now but he's not, by any chance do you know where he could be?" "He's here come in" one of the kidnappers  says. As soon as I entered the door was shut behind me.

Calum's pov:
While helping Emberlynn with the work she questioned me as to why I was here at this time of the day. As part of the plan I needed to lie and I answered "I thought I was going back to my house but I ended up knocking on the wrong door." I wouldn't actually believe this but she actually believed my lie.

Michael's pov:
They pushed me to where I had seen Emberlynn and Calum doing the work and said "Don't you guys know you're not meant to be here? Now you're both gonna have to work here forever" one of them tell us. "Or maybe not" Calum whispered to me. "yeah" I said back. "They're gonna be the ones in trouble" he adds which made me giggle.

Ashton's pov:
I walked towards the house with a lock and key, so that I could lock the kidnappers in the house so they couldn't escape the cops.

I locked the door, waited there and signalled Luke to call the cops.

Luke's pov:
I had seen Ashton's sign meaning I needed to call the cops now. I picked up my phone immediately dialing their number.

"Hello, is this the police?" I asked from my side of the call. "Yes it is, how may we help you?" They replied from their side of the call. "My friends aren't back yet and I have a feeling they went to the wrong house by accident so I got my other friend to keep an eye on what's been going on in that house and he says that he thinks they've been kidnapped by the people who stay there so he locked the door so that they can't escape when they hear the sound of sirens" I told them. "Okay we'll be right there" they reply. "Thanks for your help" I say I then give them the address before cutting the call.

Ashton's pov:
After some time the cops arrived I unlocked the door and the cops immediately caught sight of everything that was going on.

"I see you've been taking people away from their homes and capturing people who come here and making them your slaves" the cop says. One of the kidnappers try to speak but is stopped by the cop. The cops then question Emberlynn, Calum and Michael to find out more information about what they've been doing and after they got all the answers they needed. They arrested the kidnappers for kidnapping and abuse.

Calum's pov:
Once all of that was done and everything was sorted. We asked Emberlynn if she would like to stay with us until she finds somewhere else to stay and she agreed.

Well it looks my curiosity had killed me as I was so curious to know the answers to my unanswered questions... but I guess it did something else too it saved Emberlynn.
