Of course he would kill me. He had almost done it a couple of hours ago. The scene made me think about something else. I better warn my family. What if something happened to me? They didn't know where I was. Taking out my phone from my back pocket I sent a text to Justin

"If I'm not at home in half an hour, call the police"

Half an hour was the time I needed to get my answers. I heard the phone vibrate. Justin. I didn't bother to answer him. I kept walking, dim lights illuminating the roads. My heels the only thing you could hear. Damn me for bringing heels, I couldn't run with this. Not that I was going to run, but just in case. I tried snapping the heels but it was impossible. Guess that if I had to run I was doing it bare feet.

Just one street left. I really hoped I knew how to reach home. I would be lost if I didn't. My phone vibrated again. I stopped dead and read the text. Jake. He wanted to go on a date. Yeah, he asked in his arrogant type. But now wasn't the time to deal with this. I stuffed the phone into my back pocket and started walking again. Better finish what I started.

As I reached the second street the lights started to go down. They would turn off and then on. It was creepy. But I didn't let the fear get to me. As long as I didn't think about what I was doing.

I stopped in the second street. I looked around. No one. Nor thoughts.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" He thought.

I turned around immediately. He was a good teen feet away.

"What—" I coughed, trying to make my voice louder "What do you want" I demanded.

"It's been so long since I've seen you" He kept thinking, ignoring what I said.

"Answer me" I said as sternly as I could manage. My voice was starting to shake.

"Don't treat me like that, Hale" Since when did I let him call me Hale? "After all, I'm your friend"

Yeah right. What else. I felt the anger starting to build up in me. He was going to answer me, whether he liked it or not.

"What do you want from me" I said, almost screaming.

"From you?" He thought, laughing "I want nothing from you"

"Then why are you doing this to me?"

"Oh, poor little, innocent Hail" He thought. I hadn't realized until now, but he had been getting closer to me "You don't see it"

"See what" I snapped, my hands curling into fists.

"You're the weak point"

"Weak point?" He didn't make sense "What are you talking about? You're sick. You need to see a doctor" I said, stepping away from him.

He laughed "I need revenge"

That stopped me dead in my place. Revenge? I looked into his thoughts, knowing I would get much more information than what he told me.

"No, don't try that" He said, stepping closer and blocking his thoughts. He was right next to me. And I was so shocked I couldn't even move. I was panting.

"Revenge?" I whispered.

"Mhm" He simply thought, stepping even closer, if it was possible, his body inches away from mine. I tried peaking under his hat to see his face, but he was wearing a mask.

"Why?" As I exhaled a cloud of steam formed in front of me.

"You wouldn't understand" He thought, cupping the back of my head with his hand. I tried to pull away but I couldn't. What was he doing?
