Sierra's POV
"Are you going to the masquerade party?" I asked hoping he would say yes.
"Not planning to," he says brushing his fingers through his hair. "Are you going?"
"Yeah I am," I said with a small smile.
"Well in that case, I'll consider it," he said smirking.
He got up from the grass and took off, he then turned around and gave me a wink.I almost fainted...
No just kidding, it was just a wink.I stayed about an hour under the tree for about an hour.
I walked back home, mums car was parked in the driveway, I was hoping I wasn't about to walk in on Cassidy and her yelling at eachother.
Instead I see him sitting on the couch reading a book.
"Hey mum," I say with a smile."Hello sweetie, how was shopping?" She asked.
"Amazing!"
I said going over to the couch and taking out my dress and mask."It's so beautiful! You are going to look gorgeous in this!" She said with her eyes tearing up.
"Mum, are you crying?"
"It's just I can't buy you nice clothes, and I can't take you shopping or nice places. Seeing how happy you are about a dress and mask is ju-" she says wiping her tears away.
I hugged her tightly.
"I have everything I need, I could not ask for more," I said with a reassuring smile.
We heard footsteps.
I was surprised to find out Cassidy was home. She walked to the kitchen not looking at us.
She grabbed some leftovers from last night and went back upstairs. The silence is killing me.
Mum is scared to confront her about her problems. I don't blame her, Cassidy scares me sometimes too.
"I have no experience in the whole parenting thing... But you know deep inside you need to say something to her. You are letting her go out of control, I know it's not your fault bu-"
"It is my fault," she said cutting me off. "Maybe if I had a better relationship with your father, things would work out differently, I just don't know the right time when to talk to her."
"Mum, the moment is right here for you to talk to her. She came downstairs at least, maybe she is slowly trying to, you know," I say.
"I'm going to go now, to talk to her," mum said confidently.
Clara's POV (Sierra's mum)
I make my way upstairs.
I shouldn't let her off that easily.I knock on her door.
"Open the door Cassidy," I say firmly.
"Get lost."
"Open the door or I will break it!"
I was serious, I will kick this door hard enough for it to break.
She didn't reply.
A few seconds later I found myself lifting my foot and kicking the door with all my might.
"MUM!" Cassidy yells.
"YOU ARE OUT OF CONTROL! YOU ARE A SELFISH GIRL. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE THIS HOUSE! YOU WILL COME TO WORK WITH ME, AND YOU WILL BE UNDER MY WATCH AT ALL TIMES!" I yelled.
It was time she started learning.
"YOU WISH! GET OUT! GET OUT! GET OUT!"
"Get down stairs now. NOW!" I said loudly.
"You aren't the boss of me!" Cassidy yelled.
"I'm your mother! I am the boss of you," I said with a furious expression.
"You aren't my mother! You are a monster how lives in this house and doesn't understand what your daughter is going through! You are too busy cooking and you never pay attention to me!"
"Cassidy, I love you, I pay attention to you every single second of the day. You can open to me about anything, you know that right? Sweetheart I'm always going to be here for you," I said with a low voice.
My throat was burning from all the screaming and yelling.
"We need you to be with us honey," I said as I walked away.
That was that, it's up to her to make the correct decision.
