Chapter 16

When I got home I immediately rushed to my room to get ready for the party.
*phone dings*

Viola: You better be getting ready!!! So excited!
Me: yes I am! :)) Are you picking me up?
Viola: you know it! xx

I put my phone away and started to get ready.
I did my makeup, and made the eyeshadow the same colour as my dress.
I put some winged eyeliner & mascara to finish the look.

I decided to let my hair out and curl the ends, since I always tie my hair up. A change would be nice.

*Doorbell rings*
"She's here already?" I say to myself.

I go downstairs and open the front door. There was Viola squealing as I opened the door.

"I thought you said you were getting ready! Hurry up lets get you all done up!" She says pushing my shoulders upstairs.

We reached my room and I took a second to smile at her. She looking stunning, her dress looked so great on her.

"Okay I'm going to get dressed," I say as she walks out of the room to give me some privacy.

As I slip the dress on I looked in the mirror and I smiled.

I feel great in myself today, not like any other day.

"Viola!" I said loudly enough for her to hear me.

"That dress was made for you!" She shrieked.

I put on some black heels, grabbed my silver bag, and I was all done.
We walked downstairs and to my surprise... I saw Cassidy and mum sitting on the couch.

Mum's eyes widened, her smile grew bigger and bigger by the second.

"We're leaving now," I said smiling making my way to mum to hug her.

I gave her a tight hug and looked over to Cassidy.

Her facial expression didn't change.
I didn't want her to make anything go wrong, so I said bye to my mum and went out the door with Viola.

"The taxi should be here by now," Viola said looking around.
"There it is!" I said pointing to the Taxi.
We hoped in and there we were on our way.
"So are you ready?" She asked smiling at me.
"My heart is pounding for some reason," I said in a low voice.

"It's okay, I get like that too before parties, but once you arrive it will all be okay... Unless, you're nervous about Carter," she said smirking.

"I'm not nervous about anyone, I'm just... Ugh who knows?"

She chuckled as she looked at her mirror admiring herself.

A few minutes later we arrived at the party, Audrey's house is huge, almost like a mansion.
"Woah," I said in shock.
"I know right."

We walked in, and as I looked around it felt like I was about to have the best night of my life. Everything looked so mysterious, colours like black and red were mainly used.

The party basically looked like a Victoria Secret store.
I scanned my eyes across the room to see if I can find Carter. I was secretly hoping that he's here.

"I'll be back I'm going to get some drinks," Viola said and walked off.
Nothing is more awkward than standing alone at a party while other people are wasted, dancing and... Basically everyone was going insane.

And there I was standing there awkwardly.

But someone immediately caught my eye.
