"sorry about her, she's being a bit rude," melanie said, glaring in ashley's direction. ashley shrugged. "the book is actually really good. i like it."
"um, thanks," tanner replied, shooting a nervous look to melanie.
"i feel so cool because im friends with an award winning author," ashley bragged.
"whoa, whoa. don't flatter yourself there. i never said we were friends," tanner replied, smirking at ashley. ashley pouted.
