Darkness.
That's the only thing he could see.
He wasn't afraid. Darkness was his friend. Darkness helped him.
The shadow walked along the brick wall of the alleyway, his eyes glued on the ground.
He searched, until his eyes fell apon a small piece of paper on the cement ground.
His fingers wrapped around it, slowly unfolding it.
An address.

Soon the sun had risen and May's eyes drifted open. She sat up, rubbing her eyes and pushing her hair out of her face.
Analeigh was still in a blanket lump, but soon after she stood up, the new recruit shifted and stood up herself.
They mumbled their good mornings, and May walked over to the gray door that led to the room where Mingyu had slept. The door hovered above the wooden floor as it swung open, and May peeked inside, only to find Mingyu, who had fallen asleep in front of the two computer screens.
The blinds were drawn, and slivers of light crept through them, falling on the desk and the one who had fallen asleep at it.
May pulled the blinds open, and her boyfriend's eyes slowly opened.
"Find anything last night?" She asked, leaning on the desk.
"Nothing big." Mingyu replied groggily, yawning inbetween his sentences. "They seem to have lost us though."
"That's good."
Mingyu got up and headed towards the bathroom on the opposite side of the house, while May scanned over the information on the screen.
He was probably only half awake last night. She thought. He could have missed something.
Lines and lines of white coding against a black background were displayed on the screen.
A few years ago, when the Enemy had finally opposed itself as a threat, Mingyu and Seokmin had worked to hook into the city's security systems, as well as some of the world's major landmarks'. Since then, they were able to watch the world closely, searching for anything- anything- that could lead them to the identity of the Enemy.
May's eyes darted around the screen. She was about to assume nothing out of the ordinary had happened, and began to turn away when a specific line caught her eye.
Her head snapped back towards the screen as she whispered the words to herself.
New-Location-Decided-Transmit-Information
She nearly screamed, and soon enough she began yelling excitedly.
One by one the rest crashed through the door, rushing over to the computer screen.
"Oh my god." She heard Analeigh whisper.
Mingyu, who had half of his chin slathered with shaving cream, quickly rushed to sit down. The mouse fell over the line, and he clicked it, eagerly typing away. After a few moments, an audio file popped up, and they all listened attentively.
"We're moving locations," A very emotionless voice started. "You know what I need. I'm trusting you,-" And then it cut out.
"That voice isn't natural." Hoshi said. "It's a voice changer."
"They're moving somewhere else. We were most vulnerable when moving, and so are they." Everyone went silent as Seungcheol spoke. "Can you track the location on this message..?"
The taller nodded, and then clicked away. Soon, another screen if coding popped up, but two numbers stood out. GPS coordinates.
Everyone stood there, silent and gawking at the screen. After everything, they had finally found something important.
"Well, what now?" Seokmin asked, reaching over to the keyboard and uploading the coding onto the flash drive.
"Seokmin, Hoshi, we need you again." Seungcheol replied. "And everyone get ready. Tonight we're storming the Enemy."
-
There was thought of it being a trap, but they couldn't take the chance of it being true and missing their opportunity.
The Enemy couldn't hide forever, and the SCA knew it.
This was their chance.
Their chance to end it all.
The brunette looked at herself in the small bathroom mirror. Her black tank top and boots, and the wristband around her wrist. The belt around her waist, and the gun clipped onto it. All black. Darkness.
Darkness is an enemy and an ally. You can hide in it, and if you can, others can too. The fun part is figuring out whether you're the one hiding, or the one looking.
The sun had set by now, and familiar white stars rose above the city, casting a faint light on the streets below.
"Analeigh?" It was Seungcheol. "We're going now."
She nodded and turned away from the mirror, following being Seungcheol.
-
The group of six walked through the system of alleyways in the city, following the GPS's on Seungcheol and Hoshi's watches. For once, there was something in New York City that Analeigh couldn't find.
Something was different about Hoshi. There was an extra hint of excitement in him, as he had secretly missed being away from the action for so long. He was glad to be back, out in the field.
He had left because he felt he needed to slow down.
Life in the fast lane. He would always tell himself, but he was glad to be back out, even if it was only for a short time.
Seokmin had been Hoshi's partner throughout it all. They had been through so much, they eventually stopped counting how many times one of them had almost died.
They were both the happiest when adrenaline was coursing through them, even if it meant risking their lives.
Eventually both Hoshi and Seungcheol stopped, and they all glanced in awe at the sleek, gray skyscraper in front of them.
This was it.
The old headquarters of the Enemy was in front of them, hidden away somewhere in the seven-story tall skyscraper.
Shivers ran down Analeigh's spine. She was ready, even though her brain told her to back away. She told herself she wouldn't.
It's all for the better.
She would be helping people, right? Preventing future disasters. If they found who was behind it all...
"Everyone's wristbands alright?" Seokmin called, and Analeigh glanced down at hers. The small light on the side of it blinked twice, symbolizing that it was ready. She nodded, and they walked towards the doors.
-
Inside was pleasant, like most building lobbies in the city.
The six walked up to the front desk, and one of the two secretaries looked up.
"Can I help you?"
Seungcheol held up a small piece of paper, which Analeigh assumed was some kind of permission form. She had seen Mingyu working on it the morning before, causing her to realize that it was forged.
The secretary nodded, and handed Seungcheol a small card.
Mingyu thanked the woman after Seungcheol turned away, and they all loaded into the extra-large, typical New York City elevator.
"You all know the plan," Seungcheol said in a hushed voice. "Good luck."
And with that, they descended into the lower levels of the scraper.--
