The elevator rushed alongside tight brick walls as it descended, the sudden rush of air beneath unfeelable to it's six passengers.
They were all full of nervous energy, considering that for most of them, this is was the first field mission since Seungcheol's 'death' in Paris last year.
They had noticed that since Seungcheol had been wiped off of the radar, the Enemy had been more lenient. They knew of what a threat the agent was, and they took no chances. Security was still tight though, and finding some coding that had leaked through from the opposing agency's computer was quite possibly pure luck.
Analeigh leaned nervously against the sleek elevator wall. Thousands of thoughts rushed through her head.
What is there to expect?
She asked herself this many times, and little did she know the other five occupants were asking themselves the same exact thing.
The brunette was pulled out of her train of thought as the elevator jerked to a stop. They were here.
Nervous glances were exchanged, and then concluded by a firm nod from Seokmin as the metallic gray doors slid open.
Guns raised, they stepped out of the elevator.
There was nothing.
Nothing but empty space- cement floors and dirty cellar windows that barely let the smallest rays of sunshine in. A very light haze of dust lay on the ground, made noticeable by the small amount of natural light.
How long had they been gone?
Was this just a decoy?
Where was the trap?
The group slowly made their way further into the basement, their guns now lowered. There was nothing there to even think of shooting in frustration.
The room seemed to wrap around the elevator shaft, making a perfect square, and letting the six know that if they somehow got trapped down here, the elevator would be their only way out.
A desk lay astray on the right side of the elevator, along with a small gray filing cabinet, both pressed up against the bricked-in elevator shaft.
"Look.." Analeigh exclaimed, shifting herself towards the two items. If there were to be anything down here that was useful, the only place to look had to be there.
The brunette rushed over, ripping open the drawers. Nothing.
She then turned to the filing cabinet, which was surprisingly unlocked. One by one she pulled open the drawers.
Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. No-
Laying against the bottom of the fifthy drawer was a generic, manilla file folder. She reached in, her fingers slowly wrapping around it as she stood up, turning to face the other five. She sat it down on the desk just as Seungcheol came beside her.
His hands ran over the cover, and then slowly opened it, as if he expected the world's greatest secret to be imprisoned inside.
-
In a way it was the world's biggest secret to him. It was what he had worked for the past three years. All he needed was a clue, something to keep him going, something to give him a lead. He wanted to make a difference, and holding the file folder in his hands gave him a spark of hope.
"Just open it!" He was interrupted by May, who was just as eager as all of them. She fiddled with her thumbs as she leaned up against Mingyu, who had his arms around her.
He scoffed at her, and then opened it.
Inside lay a few papers and photographs.
He took them in his hands, chocolate brown eyes scanning over them.
"What do they say..?" Hoshi asked, the sleeves of his jacket caught under his palms as he leaned against the wooden desk anxiously.
"These files are old," He blew a strand of hair out of his eyes. "They've had this planned for a while.."
"That means they have no clue we're after them, or it was just convenient." Analeigh muttered.
"Tokyo."
"Hm?"
"That's the new location. Tokyo. It says so here." He let the papers slap down onto the desk, dust scattering as they impacted.
"In case of emergency, the organization will relocate to the city of Tokyo, Japan. If no threat is opposed before this date, the organization will-"
"They'll move on anyways." Mingyu interrupted. "This is completely convenient.."
"All conventions by the organization will be kept under this location." A set of coordinates were handwritten underneath it, a hard contrast to the generic, crisp typewriter style font.
Analeigh was anxious. "Are we going to go..?"
"We have a good enough lead.." May added.
Mingyu sighed. "There's too much information to pass over. It's your call, Seungcheol."
The dark-haired figure sighed, closing his eyes for a moment. Then he nodded. "Of course we're going." He turned to Hoshi and Seokmin. "We've brought you far enough, you don't have to-"
"We're coming with you." Hoshi confirmed for both of them, and Seokmin nodded. "I never thought I'd say this, but I'm back with the SCA. It's for the better." He said, smiling slightly as he nodded at Analeigh.
It is definitely for the better. She told herself. Staying at home with Charlotte eating ice cream quarts after ice cream quarts never would have helped change the world- save people even.
"When do we leave?" She questioned. Would she have time to run home and tell Charlotte she was okay..?
"Two days. We can't let them out of our reach." He replied quickly.
Everyone nodded, and Seungcheol picked up the small stack of slightly yellowed papers, leaving the stack of photographs. The group began to make their way back to the elevator shaft, and Analeigh quickly grabbed the stack of pictures, stuffing them in her jacket.
The group herded themselves back into the familiar elevator, mostly shocked about the building's emptiness and the lack of force they had to use, as well as the Enemy's huge location move.
All she could think about was the stack of photographs concealed in her jacket.
-
She sat on the end of her makeshift bed in Hoshi and Seokmin's apartment, the last light of dusk seeping through the blinds and onto the photographs. There were six of them, all of various things- people, cities.
She wondered who the people in the photographs were, smiling in one picture, and then frowning in the next. Although they were of multiple people, one person was persistent and appeared in all of them. Analeigh thought he looked familiar, but she didn't know where she had seen him before.
"Maybe one day I'll find out." She whispered.

Wooooooaaah, hey guys!! This chapter came out a few days late, but I think you can excuse me for that because of my double update last time, right? :P
I rewrote this chapter about two times to try and get it how I wanted it, and I think that I'll be able to branch a lot of future plots out of this one. (;
Thank you for reading, and if you find any mistakes, please let me know. (I barely edited this, whoops.)
