Full panoply of noonday sun
has webbed with light these tangled boughs
and candled clumps and tufts of grass,
sanctifying dandelion leaves.Breeze ruffling privet shelves of light
that coruscate and shake wet sheen;
the sodden table dark-shone gleams
where algae-tundra ice-sheets melt.One-fingered jabs break up to floe
on full bird bath such silvered jags
though flocklets fled from sodden earth
when we came out to garner words.Sun's white gold deep in indigo
the brightener, the alchemist
though damp cold seize our digits firm
on stoics tooth their puppy tests.I end up staring near the sun
blue-black blind or through blood-lid scope;
this deep-shared sweet oblivion
is winter's bliss from summer's hope.................
