I got sick with pneumonia and was out of school for two weeks. Before I even went to school, I went to CCHSU.

I need to see her.

The nurses aren't surprised to see me.

It snowed finally. Winter break starts in two weeks.

They lead me to where the patients are, and when I don't see Cam, I panic.

"Where is she?" I demand. "What happened to her?"

"She's gone."

"What? What do you mean she's gone?"

"She went home." Nurse Adaline smiles.

"She got out." I whisper. "Fuck. Okay."

I leave.

I don't know where she is.

I might never see her again.

It's Christmas break. It's been two more weeks.

There is supposed to be school today but overnight we got two feet of snow and we're expected to get even more today, so it's a snow day.

It's snowing so badly that I can't even see out my window.

I'm so depressed though. I wish I had gotten the chance to say goodbye to Cam.

My whole family knows everything.

Dad keeps coming up to talk to me. I love my family so much.

I have no motivation. For a month I've been in bed. Two weeks I was sick, but after that...I've just been depressed. The principal said I don't have to volunteer anymore and I'm off the hook.

I go to school and come home, eat, sleep, eat dinner, shower, and then sleep until school. On weekends I don't leave my bed except for showers and food.

I hear my family talking downstairs but I just have no motivation.

I'm laying in my boxers.

The doorbell rings.

Ew.

Company.

Groaning, I pull the covers over my head and flip onto my stomach.

Thirty seconds later, Ryan comes bursting into my room.

"Bro, you got company."

"Whatever. Tell them to leave." I grunt.

"No." he throws a pair of sweats at me. "Come downstairs."

He shuts the door.

I'm not even people ready.

I flop out of bed and pull on sweats and brush my teeth.

I open my door loudly, running my fingers through my hair.

I hate everything. I pull a white long sleeve shirt on too, because I'm cold now that I'm not in bed.

There's a huge red Chevy Silverado parked outside and it's lifted so high that I could sit under it fully.

The streets aren't plowed.

There's two foot of snow on the ground. Who the fuck is crazy enough to drive in it?

I start going downstairs.

"I've heard so much about you!" Mom says.

I step off that last stair into the living room before whoever Mom is speaking to can answer.
