chapter 11
JOSH'S POV
"Josh, can I talk to you?" I set my drink down and looked up at Harry and his mass of curly brown hair. He had a serious glimmer in his green eyes, so I turned in my chair to face him straight-on.
"Sure Harry, what's going on?" I asked, concerned.
"About that Sophie girl..." Harry glanced up and I couldn't help but smile. She was a really nice girl. "You need to end things with her, man..." Harry trailed off and I stared at him, shocked.
"Why...? Wha-what did she...? Did she do something or...?" I was confused. Sophie was genuinely sweet. Did they have something against her? What was going on?
"Listen, it's just..." Harry spoke slowly, as always. "Remember that girl who left Louis and broke his heart...?"
Suddenly it all made sense. I knew she seemed familiar. And I knew I had heard about a "Sophie" before. I just never connected the dots. Wow...
"I... woah... I'm sorry man, I didn't realize-" I started.
"Don't worry about it," Harry told me, waving his hand as if to push the problem away. "Louis is just taking the whole "seeing her again" thing kind of hard."
I sighed to myself as I nodded. Just my luck... I finally land a cute girl and she turns out to be the ex of one of my band members. I had to break up with her. I couldn't do that to Louis. He was a good friend of mine and he would do the same for me.
But something in Harry's eyes told me it wouldn't be the last I saw of Sophie. Did Louis really still have feelings for her or...? I would have to watch this a bit. I guess I really do have to end it with Sophie tonight.
But he totally owes me one.

Would you break up with someone just because a friend was uncomfortable? I think I would... maybe... ha... I probably would because my friends are very important to me. I genuinely care about them, so I try to avoid doing things that hurt them. Would you do the same as Josh?
