Chapter 4: The Mystery Chase

Maddison Pov:

It's been two days since I've moved into my new place as well as gotten that weird phone call from Damon. I've tried calling him and sent him at least a 100 text messages. Its driving me bananas not knowing if he is okay. I told Lexi about the weird phone call i got from him the next day after i got it. she just thinks that he's just trying to mess with me. But i still haven't seen him. he hasn't been at school and i haven't even seen him around town either. I'm starting to get worried. But of course once i go to look at my phone to see if i have any missed messages or calls there is nothing. i sent him a quick text asking if he could please call me as soon as possible. i waited and waited and still nothing. giving up i rolled out of bed and headed towards my walk in closet. i pick out something a little nicer, i picked out a nice lace top with a pair of leggings, and a pair of cute heels. i walked out to the kitchen to get my coffee to go,. "Lexi?" i called out for her seeing if she was still here. No response. i let out a deep breath and made y usual triple triple and grabbed my key and headed out. why is Lexi's car still here if she isn't home? I got into my car and thought i should call Lexi.

the phone rang and rang and finally she picks up "hello?" it wasn't Lexi. "uh is Lexi there?" i asked kinda annoyed. why wouldn't she tell me where she was going. "uh yea but shes kinda busy at the moment who is this?" now i was pissed "this is her roommate. you better put her on the phone right now." the man on the other line didn't sound to happy but put her on the phone anyway "Maddison? I'm alright I'm just staying at a friends house" she said sounding annoyed. "well thanks for telling me you could of at least left a note." i snapped back. before she could say another word i hung up. i don't have time for stupid games right now. since i was off school i thought i would just go to Damon's house and check on him. so an hour later i arrived at his apartment. i approached slowly and knocked on the door. but to my surprise it wasn't Damon who answered but a female. "uh hey is this Damon's apartment?" i asked nervously. she nodded and called for him. i noticed that she was barely wearing any clothes. Must be his girlfriend. "Maddison?" his faced paled. he obviously didn't want one of us to know each other. "sorry for the intrusion its just after the one night when i heard the guy say run I've been worried and you wont answer your phone-I'm sorry ill just go i can see your busy" i said kinda sad and walked away. i heard the door close. he didn't even try to come after me. what a jerk? i thought to myself as i got into the car and headed in the direction of home.

Home isn't where i want to be right now, not with the Lexi thing. so i drove into the country like i usually do when i need to calm down. Once i got to my usual spot i got out of my car and looked at the view. i took in the surrounding and noticed that something was different. But what was different wasn't something i expected.

Damon's Pov:

*bang bang* someone was at the door. i looked at my clock, 9:30 am who on earth wakes up this early? "Damon, someone is here for you!" my girlfriend called out to me. as i went to the door i notice it who it was. Maddison. shit I'm in so much trouble. "Maddison?!" i yelled more then i was panning o. "Hey uh sorry for intruding i was just worried cause of the night you called and hearing that person say run and than you haven't been answering you phone-sorry ill just go your obviously busy" i could hear the sadness in her voice and see the disappointment in her green eyes. i know i should of said something to ease her mind but i didn't. i was more mad that she came her in the first place. so i shut the door and turned around to a very pissed off girlfriend. well I'm dead "who the fuck was that Damon!?" she screamed. her fist was balled and face was red in anger. "shes just a friend from school babe don't sweat it" but that only made it worse. " Damon then why the fuck you calling her and shit?!" she screamed even louder. i took a deep breath and continued. "look i was just being nice it was her birthday babe, you have no competition. Its just you" i said as i pulled her in for a kiss. she seemed pleased with that answer. "okay but don't hide your friends from me i don't mind if you have friends that are girls baby, just bring them around."    she responded. i nodded happy that she wasn't angry.
