Chapter twenty two: Abin Morgenstow And His Horribly Cringe Worthy, Dirty Mind

▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

"If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea,

I'll sail the world to find you,

If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see,

I'll be the light to guide you."

~Count On Me, Bruno Mars.

CARPE DIEM.

The words stand distinctly on the top of the restaurant. As Abin and I enter, I let out a gasp of astonishment at the ceiling which apparently beholds an intricate chandelier. Fairy lights and pom-poms are majestically hanging between the tall pillars, and the entire set looks really royal and romantic. The lanterns are figuratively flying in the air, tied up to the ceiling with a translucent thread.

I try to take it all in - it's one of the best restaurants I've definitely ever seen in my seventeen years of existence.

"Oh my God, did you see that?" I rub my hands over his tee, pointing at the glass chandelier at the heart of the restaurant, which hangs so low that anyone can practically touch it if they stand on their tiptoes.

He laughs, pulling me away.

"Where are you taking me? You can't obviously take me away from this beautiful sight-" my rantings are interrupted as he closes my eyes with his fingers tightly, and I'm suddenly blinded.

I scoff, moving my hands to reach him. "How can you do this to me? Oh my God, remove your filthy fingers from my eyes or I'll pluck your balls out!"

He laughs, moving behind me as I continue my attempts to reach out to him. "I can think of several other things you can do with my balls, none of them including the action of plucking them out. They come in handy, you know."

"Ew" I wrinkle my nose in disgust, trying to hide my smile. "Abin Morgenstow and his horribly cringe worthy, dirty mind."

"Hey", he says defensively, flexing his arms a little. I catch a glimpse of the chair we're walking to before his fingers tighten their grip on my eyes again. "It's not like you don't have a dirty mind or anything."

"Whatever", I say, extending my arms to feel the chair in front of me.

"There's nothing there", he says, laughing. "Stop acting like you're completely blind."

"I am blind as long as your devilishly long fingers are covering my entire face up", I point out.

"Just five minutes more, trust me", he says, "Walk with me till the end of the restaurant and we'll be right there."
