I sat in the back of Kayla's sisters camper van jigging my legs in an attempt to keep still,I couldn't lie to myself, this was exciting... And probably highly illegal. Amber clambered in next to me after heaving her things into the boot,
"I can't believe we're doing this," muttered Kayla and we were off.
It had taken what felt like years to convince my parents to let me go since they were extremely protective but after they knew Danielle (Kayla's sister) was taking us and they had a promise I would be back within two weeks. Amber hadn't liked this, I think she wanted all summer away.
We rattled down the roads until we reached Cardiff train station.
"Umm, Amber? What are we doing here?" I asked as we all tumbled out the car.
"We're going by train of course."
"What!?"
"Sorry kids, gave me an excuse to visit Dave." Danielle said through her open window, Kayla glared at her. "Sorry Sis, Amber said she told you guys." Kayla and I turned to glare and Amber who shrugged, "It will be more fun this way!" She argued as she lugged her case out the camper. " Come on!" Kayla and I glanced at each other before retrieving our own cases and heading towards the station. "Bye guys!" Called Danielle and I shivered, what had I gotten myself into now?

"Cadair Idris here we come!" Amber giggled as the train pulled into the small Welsh station, we disembarked and looked about.
"Where too?" I asked and Kayla spotted a bus stop.
"Perfect!" Amber dashed over and scanned the timetable. "We have about half an hour to kill before our bus arrives," she concluded and we wandered into the small town of Dolgellau, not far from the mountain range itself.
