I looked at Jake terrified.

"I see you guys are comfy there."   A female voice said from the doorway.

"Shut up, Melody.  He was on the air mattress but he rolled off of it in his sleep."  I replied.

"Oh, hey Jake!"  Melody said.

"Wait, you know him?"  I asked Melody, confused.

"Yeah.  The summer of 2003.  Jake threw a water baloon at Bella and I ended up helping him throw the rest at you and Bunny."  She said after a little thought.

"Okay then.  So you're not going to tell you guys' parents?"  Jake said, finally speaking up.

"Well..."  Melody trailed off for a few moments.  "... Maybe not for the right price."

"Fine.  How does $25 each sound?"  I asked after neogotioing the price with Jake.

"That works!"  She exclaimed.

Jake reluctantly handed her $25 while I pulled my wallet out from the safe in the bottom drawer in my closet.

"Are you that protective over your money?"  Jake asked with a smirk.

"I was saving up for a new phone."

"What kind?"

"Samsung Galaxy."  I replied, handing the money to Melody.

"Now Jake, hurry home.  Bunny called and she said that if you didn't hurry home, then she'll tell your parents that you got drunk and slept with some std ridden slut last night.  Quite a good sister you have there."  Melody said with a smirk on her face.

Seriously.  What is up with everyone smirking nowadays?

"Okay.  And yeah, I do have a wonderful sister."   He said, sarcasam seeming to drip from his words.

"Need a ride?"  I asked Jake, grabbing my keys off of the dresser.

"Yeah.  Thanks."  He replied.

"Can you shoo, Mel?"  I asked, using her hated nick-name.

"Don't call me "Mel" Marissa."  Melody said, thinking she had a good comeback.

"I didn't know that you were so formal Mel.  I like my name and my nick-names.  I'm happy with practially anything."  I replied, joining in on the "smirk game" as I was calling in in my head.

"Argh.  Whatever.  Just take the boy home.  If mom and dad wake up I'll tell them you're going to Bella's home to drop her off.  Then it's only halfway a lie."  Melody said, clearly frustrated.

Jake and I headed to the truck when he stopped me outside of the truck.

"Don't speak."  He said. "Let me talk.  Your sister is a theif.  I love your bedroom.  Your house is amazing.  What kind of dog is Cookie?  I want one."

"Okay.  Yes, she's a theif.  Thank you.  And Cookie is a Bearded Collie."

"Thanks.  She's cute."

"I know.  I love the pup but she's getting so big."

"How old is she?"

"11 months."

"And she's trained?"

"She has been for about 5 months.  She's an award winning show dog."

"Wow.  Did you train her?"

"She's my dog, so yeah."

"Cool."

"I have no clue where you guys live."

"I'll give you the directions on the way."

"Alright."

We got into my truck and started down the road.

"How did you sleep?"  Jake asked.

"Good.  It was a good sleep."  I said.

"Turn Left."  He said, directing me to his house.

"Okay..."  I trailed off.

"STOP!"

I slammed on the brakes, worried that something was wrong.

"We're here!"  He said, clearly pleased with himself, knowing I was scared.

"I hate you!"  I playfully exclaimed.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah.  I know."

"You live within walking distance and you made me drive you?!"  I exclaimed the question.

"Eh.  I'm lazy."  He replied.

"Just get out of my truck."  I replied with a grin.

"Fine, fine."  He said, putting his hands up in defeat.

"Bye!  Give Bunny my number and tell her to call me tonight!"  I said.

"Okay. Bye Mari."  He said closing the door behind him.

I drove home and thought about what happened in two days.  I met a boy who happened to be one of my best friend's brother, my mom was in a huge car crash, I pulled a practical joke on my twin, I had a burglar pet my dog and leave, my old friend came over and attacked me twice, her brother spent the night in my room, he ended up in my bed cuddling with me, and I was caught in a bed with a guy by my sister who blackmailed $25 out of me.

Quite a day.
