Chapter 11

A/N:

HEY!  It's been a while since I did one of these things.  :)  How are my loyal Lovelies?  I think you guys should be:  MY LOVELY PENGUINS!  <3  Like seriously. My fans are officially the lovely Penguins!  :D  If you guys have any ideas, feel free to share!  How would you guys like it to end?  Well, too bad because it ends on a sad/happy note... A little bit of both.  >:)  All I'm gonna say is:  START BUYING THE TISSUES FOR THE LAST CHAPTER! I'm sorry, but no-one gets a "Happily Ever After" ending.  Anyways, enough spoiler for the last chapter, because we are only on chapter 11!  By the way, I'm going to make my chapters longer!  Which might mean a few more days between updates.  Sorry!  Thank you all and I love you all, my Lovely Penguins!

As always, Mari's POV! 

I sat in a chair, Zac on my left, Rosa on my right, and Mrs. Greenfield on the other side of Zac.  We waited for what seemed like hours, and was probably about 40 minutes.  I missed about 80 calls from my family.  I checked my phone again for the time, when a name appeared on the screen.

Incoming call: Jake  

I answered the call as I got up, realizing that Zac had his hand on mine slightly, as he sat there.

"Hey Jake."  I said plainly.

"Hey, Mari!"  He said, pausing before he continued.  "I saw you save that little girl and give her grandma a ride.  So did the press, though.  Your parents have been calling you non-stop trying to tell you that your house was swarmed with interviewers for about 20 minutes until the police showed up and evacuated the area.  Lots of places want you to do an interview, and I have all of their numbers."

"Yeah, I don't care, but are you okay?  Where are you?  Do you need a ride?  Are you in-"

"MARI!  Calm down.  I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"  I asked.

"Yes.  I'm at home with Bunny, okay?"

"Tell her that I said hi and also that if anyone asks, she stayed at my place last night."

"Okay.  Bye."

"Bye!"

I walked into the waiting room and sat down.  The doctor walked in and talked to Renee's family. 

"Do you want to come see her?"  Rosa asked me slowly, almost as if debating it with herself.

"She's awake."   Mrs. Greenfield said.

"Ummm... sure."  I told them, standing up and following the group.

What I saw was saddening.  Renee was simply laying down with an IV in her hand and a bandage on where she was cut.

"Hi."  A hoase yet high pitched voice said.

"Hi there, honey."  Her mother said, fighting back tears.

"What happened?"

"Mari here saved you from being kidnapped by an evil man, doll."  Her mother said, patting my shoulder lightly, a tear streaming down her cheek.  

"Hi Mari.  I'm Renee.  Thank you for saving me."  

"Hi Renee.  It's not a problem, Hunny.  I would have never let you get kidnapped."

 "Well I still 'ppreciate it!"  She said, smiling slightly.

A doctor came in just then, the same one that worked on my mom.

"Okay, so this is Renee?  How're you doing sweetie, does it hurt?"

"A little." She said quietly, seemingly scared of the doctor.

"Don't be scared, they just want to help you" I thought.

She seemed to calm down after that.  Looking at me, she asked

"Really?"

Oops.  Maybe I said that out loud.

A/N

I know this may seem REALLY irrevelant but trust me, it leads to something important (OR MAYBE THIS SUCKS BECASUE I'VE HAD NO TIME AND PEOPLE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED RUSHED ME)
