"Yeah, my mom works here.  They just want to keep you healthy!" I said with a smile.

"Okay!" Renee replied with a crooked smile.

"I hope you get better sweetie."   I thought.

"I hope so too.  I don't like it here."

Okay, so, now I was wondering why all my thoughts were leaving my mouth.

"What?" Renee's mom asked, clearly confused.

"I was respondin' to Mari, mommy!"  She said

"But, honey, Mari didn't say anything."

Confusion level: 338574654%

"Can you hear this?"  I thought to Renee.

"Yep!"  Came out of Renee's smiling lips.

Quickly gasping in shock, I pinched myself, expecting no feeling and for this to just be a really freaky dream.  I'd wake up in my bed in Arizona, with Cookie on the foot of my bed, having my mom call me to the small room of out old house.

But no.  Can't have that much luck, now can I?

Feeling pain, I started brain rambling.

Side effect thoughts may include but are not limited to: "Wow, What the hell is going on?"  "Am I a mutant freak?"  "Is this real"  "This has to be a fluke."  "But what if it isn't?"  "Oh god, am I dying?"

"You're not a mutant freak!" Renee said giggling.

"How can you hear my thoughts?"  I asked slowly.

"I don't mean to!"  She said, continuing to giggle.

"But... hold on"

I looked at the family, and realixed how they must feel. Shocked, horrified, creeped out.

Yeah, you're not the olnly ones.

A little girl is LISTENING TO MY THOUGHTS.

Being more creeped out than me is invalid.

"You really hear this?  If you do hear this, say watermelon."

Don't ask why watermelon.  I don't have a clue.

"Watermelon!"  Renee exclaimed, looking at me.

"Oh my god.  Whats going on?"

Everyone looked at me, confusion written on their faces.

Yeah? I'm just as confused as you.

"Do you hear this?" I asked Zach.

"Whoa!  What the hell?"  Zach said, looking at me with terror.

"LANGUAGE!"  His mom shreiked.

I had to stifle a laugh.

"Yeah, I heard it.  How did you do that.  Is this some freaky prank?"  He said slowly.

"No, I have no clue how or why I'm doing this." I responded honestly.

"Doing what?"  Mrs. Greenfield asked.

"This"  I thought to her.

I bet none of you can say that.

"What just happened?!"  She asked/yelled, terrified, looking at me as though I'd killed someone.

I quickly ran out of the room.

What just happened?  Why is this happening. HOW is this happening?

Shoving the door open, then slamming it shut, I sunk to the ground.  Sitting there, I panted.  How far away is the Hospital? 20 blocks?  Eveningh jogs really do work, I suppose.  I weighed my options.

1. Tell my parents and have them think I'm a freak

2. Keep it a secret and try to forget this ever happened.

3. Tell the hospital so I can be put in the Nut House, where I probably belong.

I choose 1 or 2.  Looney bin doesn't seem fun.

I put my hands over my face, feeling wetness on my cheeks.  Was I crying?  I guess so.  All of a sudden Madi comes up to me and hugs me.

"I don;t know why you're upset sissy, but Iwant you to be happy!"  She said, her small arms wrapped around my neck.

"Oh, well sissy's just having a bad day, okay sweetie?"

"Okay, but you should be happy!  You want some candy?"

"Is that your solution to everything, sweetie?"  I asked, smiling.

"Pretty much!"   She said, grabbing a sucker from a jar on a shelf.

I took it and Madi left me.

This day sucked.

That is all
