On the dead banks of a creek in a suffocating forest lived a fairy, whose  name was Jealousy.  She was blessed with a beauty as magnificent as an endless ocean. Her midnight black hair the furious currents, with a tall willowy frame as graceful as sea weed. Jealousy’s skin, pale like the froth that the water creates when splashed upon rocks or shores, coral beds or boats.

This being was created a long time ago by a ruthless yet lonely sorcerer called, The Dark Lord, for no one knew his real name. After years and years of mourning and struggling with the unfortunate, heart-wrenching death of his wife, Eveena the Dark Lord decided to make his soul mate, again, a fairy in her image. He fit together all the Jealousy and hatred and betrayal in the world from all four corners of the globe. From war he collected hurts and longings, depressions and gloom, sadness and death. The Dark Lord sucked away almost all the evil in the world to form his radiant fairy, Jealousy.

The Dark Lord wanted Jealousy all to himself. Mostly, he just wanted his wife back, more then anything. The Dark Lord knew the consequence for creating life with magic, death.

The law was the law and a strict one too, that kept everyone in line. Why was it illegal to create life that way? Simple! The king of the land, Raffa was afraid. Yes, afraid! Afraid people would create armies to over throw him. Also if creatures were made who’s to say they wouldn’t turn  on woman and child, terrorize the village or cause trails of destruction in their paths.

Raffa had a son, a born leader. The prince’s name was Justin and he truly was,  the metal fist of the land. Raised in the realm of the fairies, a different dimension, filled to the brink with magic. Justin was taught well. His father well known and well feared had only the best, teach his prize possession. The fairies were the ones to build the muscles in his legs, arms, and shoulders with long hard hours of training. They taught him well though, how to draw a sword, how to mount and ride his horse and even speak their language.

When Raffa discovered Jealousy and the Dark Lord’s secret he couldn’t wait to set his hound on them. Justin fresh out of boot camp , ripped, tank, solid and cruel was assigned the satisfying job of tracking Jealousy and the Dark Lord and killing them. The Dark Lord upon hearing of his death warrant, ran away with Jealousy in hope of saving her but Justin was always close behind.

One fateful day Justin had been riding with his men, a daily routine, scouting, when finally he caught sight of the Dark Lord who was with Jealousy. He was teaching the beautiful fairy how to fly. Across the meadow the Dark Lord had known that Justin  sat watching them. Now a small army of Justin’s men rode in closing in on them, without sound, but the Dark Lord knew they were coming.

The Dark Lord sent the child away just in time, as it was then that they attacked him. Greatly outnumbered the Dark Lord fought with fury, but, in the last few minutes of the battle, died. Young Jealousy had flown away from the tiny war in time but returned to dismay.

Justin knew his father would be disappointed that he had let the creature escape but really, how far could she get. Jealousy was only 9 years old in human years and only 6 years old in fairy years. She couldn’t hunt, couldn’t fight or cook. She could barely fly. Justin thought it was only a matter of time before she died from an animal attack, starvation or hypothermia, but he was utterly, utterly wrong.

Now the poor little enfant  had to teach herself how to do everything alone, even fly. As time passed Jealousy grew more and more unhappy. Like a master piece of art forever timeless, that has been broken or smudged. No matter how many times it is painted over or patched up it will never the same. The cracks will still show. This is the devastation and the tragedy that was put upon the young child. The event caused  the lonely fairy to become  mean, selfish, and cruel. After that she hated everyone. Every man, woman and child.
