Chapter 1
Arrangements
Everyone around the castle was in a tussle. Much to do and so little time. The wedding dress, flowers, food, people and more. The soon the be Queen would want everything just perfect. In the castle of Obradome an old man ran here and there ordering people around even in his old age.
“ No you twit, why would she want those lilacs there?” and “Have you not a brain, the music should be played like this. Pay attention watch me I will show you!”
It was now that he stood yelling at a maid with a veil in her hands.
“ You don’t know where the Princess is? You don’t know where the princess is? Your saying you’ve lost her!”. When, a tall broad man tapped his tender shoulder with pride.
“ Centra, do not yell at her. My sister has been ansty all day, she is so nervous. She is simply acting like a child again. You would think her only 15 years old, not 27 the way she has been acting.”
“Easy for you to say” shoved back Centra and wobbled off towards the guards shaking a finger in the air with disappointment as he took in their sloppy poster. “In my day” everyone could hear him start up again and breathed a sigh of relief it wasn’t them.
The maid hurried away out of sight and up, up, up flights off stairs till she rapped on the door and entered a room with a grand brass door. Inside was very magnificent yet simple. The walls were a pink and orange colour and the floor was a sort of pearl colour. Light shone through the pink and white curtaines and bunced around on the alls falling upon an ancient bed. That bed was embridered with rubies and diamonds of all different sizes olong the box spring and wooden posts, as well as the head board. The pillows are sheets were cream coloured and deep red curtaines hung down from the top box part of the bed. Lastly at the foot of the bed lay an anciant trunk and infront stood a full length mirror where a beautiful woman stood twirling in her sparking dress.
“ It’s simply wonderful! I love how it swirls and shines in the light” said the woman.
At the sound of the maid entering the room all five ladies and princess spun around and were presented a grand veil. Up upon her head it sat looking radiant and proud with her poster.
“ I really look like a princess now” whispered the bride touching her eyes afraid to look for worry she might cry at the sight of her beauty.
“ Don’t cry my lady. Your eyes will run and so will your powdered cheeks”
“ don’t worry Marlina. I will not.”
Far down the hall a man in black and white with a white hanky in his left side breast pocket stood in a room the exact replica of his bride’s. He stood staring deep into his reflection in the mirror when he asked
“ Is this right Jeremy? She is so beautiful, like an angel I want this to be right but is it?”
“ Well follow what your heart tells you” Jeremy his best man replied.
“ Thanks very helpful” Sean said loudly and sarcastically.
Just then the door opened and there stood a handsome man, with brown, cropped hair, kind eyes, a strong bulky body and yet a gental baby like face.
“ Oh Jack” said Sean looking at the ground.
“ Sean” said Jack looking at the ceiling.
“ Is she ready, Is Maple ready?” asked Sean impatiently.
“ I hope not” said Jack under his breathe.
“ What was that?” cried Jeremy.
“ Nothing” jack lied. “ Centra said to proceed to the ballroom” Sean said nothing as he bumped bast Jack giving him a shoulder.
There was a knock at the door.
“ Who is it” called Maple.
“ It’s Jack!” came a familiar voice. Her maids looked at her awaiting a order.
“ Well let him”
“ But, miss. It’s not traditional to...”
“ I don’t care!” shouted Maple “ He is my brother and when I say let hi in, let him in! Do I make myself clear?!” The maids rushed to open the door.
“ A word in private” motioned Jack and Maple gave a warning with her eyes. All five maids curtseyed and left. “ Maple you can’t go through with this” whispered Jack when he was sure they were alone, fiercely holding onto Maple’s shoulders.
“ Jack..I” started Maple but he put a finger over her lips. “I love him” she said even through his finger. Jack turned and walked out. “ Jack!” Maple called after him sadly and rushed out after him towards the ballroom.
When Maple and Jack reached the bottom of the staires, Maïa rushed over to them with two young boys and a little girl by her side. One of the boys had spikey brown hair with a touch of red and big brown eyes that peared up at his mother. His eyes stuck out and his shirt was dirty. The other little boy had brown hair aswell but it was well brushed and sweeped to one side, his bangs in his face. The little boy had bright brilliant blue eyes that looked down at the floor through his glasses. He was well dressed in a a jumper. The boys little sister had two cute pig tails that were very high on her head and strangly enough had blonde hair which did not run in the family. Both mother and father hadn’t a clue where that gean had come from. She wore a sweet dress that was bright pink with lace at the hem and on the sleeves and collar. She also wore little blumers and a bow in her hair. Unlike both her brothers Suzy had vibrant green exilerating eyes and little eyes. Now both boys hid behind Maïa but Suzy ran up and hugged Jack.
“Honey, some man named Luke requires to see you outside” Jack kissed her lips tenderly.
“My Darling the procesion is about to start. Surely he can wait.” replied Jack.
“He says it is extreamly important” urged Maïa.
“Oh ok” sighed Jack. “ Make sire though, that Suzy, Matt and Umi are settled for the wedding at the front and that they are quiet and well behaived.” Maïa just grinned.
“You’ve been warned” she said spookily to Umi the little boy with glasses and ruffled Matts messy hair.
Maple got into postion after getting hugs and kisses from her niece, nefews and sister in law, Maïa. Now she stood waiding from foot to foot as her maids got in line behind and infront of her. Startling everyone and waking up the sleeping grandfather’s, the music julted to a start and Maple began to take quick walks down the ial, as she was very nervous. Slowly she breathed and slwed down to the right beats of the music. Family members and distent family smiled up at her and wiped there faces and blew their noses. As she stood next to the prist and she stared into the romantic, watery eyes of Sean and whispered “ I love you” and he squeezed her hand tight. Maple glanced over and noticed Maïa, Matt, Umi, and Suzi in their seats but Jack still wasn’t there.
Sean seeing her worried face asked “ dear what’s wrong."
The priest then said “Is there anyone who objects?”
The people in the room looked around and giggled as if think “ Who would?” but suddenly the grand doors were thrown open.
Jack ran through and yelled, “ I do” There was the glistening of a knife as he raised it above his head and ran towards Sean. Guards sensing the danger charged him before he could hurt the groom and before long Jack was being pulled away. He managed to look back at his sisters frightened face and trembling body as he went. After he was gone from sight the crowd hushed and turned back to maple who’s face turned red with embarrassment. Tears burned down her face as she ran out of the room.
