Pepper looked at Jack and Jack looked at pepper. It seemed they had landed in some sort of a court yard in the middle of a forest. Both couldn’t help the bubbling excitement, even Jack that burned inside of them now knowing there was only one element left. That had been the hardest one to find yet the funny thing was that they were surrounded by magical things yet couldn’t get a magic element. As they walked on farther taking in their new surroundings Jack found a large, necklace with what looked to be a family crest of a dragon engraved onto a tablet. The necklace was way to large for any humain being to wear but Jack kept it anyway. He liked it, he liked it so much he decided not to tell Pepper. Otherwise he new she would take it away and put it back.
As Pepper was scanning the grounds she saw a hill not too far off in the distance. If they stood up on the top maybe just maybe they could find a way out .
“ Come Jack” she shouted “ Please stop running off ok? Now, we are going to go up that hill” No matter how many times she told Jack to stay close he never listened. Jack an up ahead of her.
Suddenly there were sqwuak from birds up above and the trees started to sway. Leaves fell and the wind blew hard, Pepper had now caught up with Jack and she too looked up at the swaying trees in terror. They stopped. After a few moments the couple carried on although it was not for very long before they slammed into something hard while not paying attention. Jack glared at the tall object in front of him. “Why are things always bigger then me”he thought to himself.
Whatever it was, it was a sort of moss green and had scales. Jack grew more and more scared as he looked up . The body, a tail, a neck and finally he saw a head.
Pepper screamed “ Dragon!”
The dragon just reared into the air as Pepper pulled Jack towards her. He liked that. Jack braced himself to be crushed but then when it didn’t come he looked again to see the dragon crying.
“ err what’s the matter” asked Jack
“ I lost something of my mum’s . If she find’s out then I’m in so much trouble” sobbed the Dragon.
“Oh well what is it exactly” pressed Jack
“ a neckless” sniffed the dragon “ with my mum’s families crest on it. I took it to play with earlier today but I lost it”
Jack took the heavy chain necklace from his pant pocket and held it out.
At once the dragon’s eyes got wide and he said “ Thank you oh thank you. You have saved me from years of searching and a whole lot of trouble.”Then the dragon took the necklace between it’s fingers and looped it around hie neck.
“ Where did you find that and why didn’t you tell me.” prodded Pepper nosily.
“Somewhere” Jack said embarrassed rocking back and fourth. “Besides, I knew if I showed you you’d get all <<put it back , it’s not yours!>> , on me”. Pepper just gave him an icy glare.
“ How ever can I repay you” exclaimed the dragon
“ Well It would be very helpful if you could point us in the direction of Dragon Peek” replied Pepper.
“ Show you?” laughed the dragon “ I can do better then that. How about I take you there”
Pepper practically jumped in glee as she agreed and together Jack and Pepper climbed aboard The Dragon Express.
It was a bumpy take off which would usually make Jack hold his breath and close his eyes tight but he was different. He had realized that over the coarse of this stupid quest he had actually become more brave and less and less of a scaredy cat.
