(DREW POV.)

School is a bitch and bitches ain't shit. That bitch decide how much money I'm gone make though, so I gotta deal with it. One more week though, then I'm done with that bitch.

I woke up on drowsy ass Monday, wishing school didn't exist. As I got dressed I decided I was gonna ride the bus because I knew Candace would. Besides, that's a waste of gas. Shidd, ain't nobody got time for that.

(Candace POV>)

I was laying down on the bus looking at the video my cousin had just sent me when my phone vibrated. Keith wild boyy I tell you. I read the new message I had.

MyBoo: Can you scoot your ass over please

? (;

I looked over towards the aisle and smiled when I saw him standing there. I slowly slid over as he sat down and pecked my lips. "You know how many niggas you just kissed?" Kaija snarled.

I swear man she gone get it one of these days. She just don't know when to shut up. Drew rubbed his forehead and looked down in irritation. He looked back up at Kaija , " Shuuttt the fuuck up !" he dragged the words as if he was fully aggravated with her. She was just as shocked as I was. I ain't never seen Drew talk to a female like that before. He was always cool. I laughed my ass off as Kaija turned around embarrassed.

"You shut up too." he looked at me smiling.

"Nigga you in my seat you better come correct." I said , still laughing at how Kaija was up there being silent as a mouse.

"Blah, blah, blah ain't nobody stuntin yo ass." he said as he scrolled through his phone. He looked up at me as if an idea had popped up in his head. "You staying with me tonight?"

"Is your name Sebastian?" I answered cooly. He stopped scrolling and looked at me with confusion.

"Nahh, my name Drew. Fuck a Sebastian." he said, staring at me.

"I kinda thought about it but ion know if I'm ready." I said matter-of- factly.

"Don't play. Who this Sebastian kid you talking about?" he tried to seem as if he really didn't care as he went back to fooling with his phone.

"One of my old friends who moved back in town. Just a little somebody." I said smiling , looking up above with dreamy eyes. I knew it was getting to him because I could see his body tensing up. I can't help but laugh at the way he be getting jealous over little stuff.

"Tuh, I ain't worried bout nun." he retorted.

" Ok , Mr. I Ain't Got No Worries." I sneakily smiled.

The bus pulled up to the school. He grabbed my arm and stood up. "What you doing?" I said half laughing and half serious.

"Nahh you be trying to be slick. Yo ass staying by me all day. To and fro class. Think its a game." he said as he carried me along by his side.

I burst out laughing, this nigga something else.

We made our way to the cafeteria where I glanced at a couple of people's plate to see we were getting served breakfast pizza today. Sometimes the cafeteria be cooking garbage and I be walking out as fast as I came in. Days like these were okay though. So as I got dragged along by my so called massa, I started thinking about my test that I hadn't studied for and was scheduled for today. I'm slacking foreal.

All you could see was a bunch of black people in line. They was all lined up like dominoes waiting on they breakfast to be served. I see Drew on his phone again. He always talking about handling business. This month end Friday so whatever business he "handling" should be handled by then. If not then ... all might not be good in the hood. Like I said before... I love the kid , but I ain't got time to be worried about who shot him and who he about to shoot.
