Charlie was true to his word. The team list was up on Friday by the time classes were over. It was written on a ripped sheet of parchment. The handwriting was messy and looked rushed but was still legible. I looked down the list for mine and my friends' names. Oliver and the twins were both still on the team. Angelina had made the team. I was so excited for her I didn't even notice my own name at the end of the list.

"Alli, you made the list too." Katie said as I celebrated with Angie.

"What?" I almost screeched before returning to the list.

"Yeah you made reserve but it's more than what I got." Katie said, sadness evident in her voice.

"Hey there's always next year right?" I say in a failed attempt to cheer her up.

"Yeah sure whatever. I gotta get started on my potions essay as it'll take me all weekend to do so I'll talk to you guys later ok?"

"Oh ok. We'll come get you when it's time to eat ok?" Angie said, trying to make Katie feel better.

"Don't worry about it. I'll come down later." Katie said, already ascending up the stairs. The two of us watched Katie disappear up the staircase.

"Now I feel bad." I say looking at the floor in shame.

"Why? First year hardly ever make the team. She's amazing so she'll most likely make it next year." Angie stated in a fake happy voice.

"Yeah you're right. Hey let's go find the boys." I said as I made my way towards the door.

"Why not?" She said, happily joining me. We were half way to the main floor by the time we found them.

"We've been looking for you for ages!" I laughed after we bumped into them.

"It's been five minutes." Angie said as she elbowed me in the side.

"We were actually coming to find you." Fred said as he chuckled at our exchange.

"We have to show you something." George said before he pulled us down more stairs and led us to the Great Hall.

"What was it you wanted to show us?" I asked as George pulled an old piece of parchment out of his bag.

"How old is that?" Angie asked in amazement at how such an old paper wasn't ripped yet.

"At least 30." They said at the same time, as always.

"So you wanted to show us an old piece of parchment? Well, shows over and I have transfiguration work." Angie said as she started to stand.

"No wait! There's more!" George practically screamed in excitement.

"Ok calm down." She said as she sat back down.

"Now, watch this." George said as his brother set the tip of his wand on the paper.

"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." They said unison. We watched as the plain paper became stained with ink. A small diamond grew thicker as the old parchment began to gain worlds on the cover.

"'Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs Purveyors of Aids to Magical Mischief- Makers are proud to present The Marauder's Map.'" I read out loud in pure confusion. "Is this a map of Hogwarts and the people in it?" I ask, trying to understand what the old parchment paper in my hands truly was.

"Pretty much, except it shows where they are and what they're doing." George confirms and Fred nods next to him.

"This is fantastic and all, but where did you get it." Angelina says, clearly as confused as I am.

"We stole it from Filch last year. I hadn't even taken it out of my trunk when we went home for the summer. Just found it this morning actually." Fred explained, clearly embarrassed about forgetting it.

"What would we even use this for?" I questioned. "Don't get me wrong, the map sounds incredibly useful but for what?"

"That's where you come in, we have this great idea for a prank. Not sure on the little details but it's a start." George says as he leans in closer as if we couldn't hear him.

"And I'm out." Angelina states as she rises from her spot on the bench once again.

"Angelina we need you too!" Fred cries, ready to chase after her.

"I'm already behind on school work and quiddich practice isn't going to help. Plus, I'm not that great at pranks anyway. So, have fun getting in trouble and being at fault when we lose the house cup this year." Angelina responds with an eye roll. I begin to stand, ready to follow my friend back upstairs.

"I'm sure what you guys are planning is gonna be hilarious but I don't want to be kicked off the quidditch team AND have McGonagall hate me for the rest of my life." I stated and linked my arm with Angelina's as we walk out of the great hall together.

"I really doubt that Charlie would kick you off the team. Especially for something his idiot brothers did. Can you even get kicked off of reserve?" She ponders out loud as we walk up the moving staircase between the third and fourth floors.

"I doubt it honestly. I'm sure it's happened before but I guess we'll never know." I reply with a shrug as we reach the Fat Lady's portrait. "Cor-" I begin just to be cut off.

"Do you girls want to hear the new song I'm working on?" The Fat Lady asks excitedly.

"We would love to of it were any other time." Angelina says and if I didn't know her, I'd think she was actually sorry. "We have a very important potions essay due tomorrow and we really need to get started on it."

"Oh alright." The Fat Lady said with clear disappointment in her voice.

"Corona Borealis" I repeated and watched as the painting swung open. "Someday she'll realize we don't want to hear her sing!" I laugh after the door shut. "Hey Katie." I wave at the younger girl who was seated on the couch.

"Oh hey guys." She smiled back up at us and returned to her homework.

"What if I did the herbology work and you did the Defense work and we can just switch?" I ponder to my friend.

"We'll have to do transfiguration and potions together." Angelina responds with a nod.

"Let's get started shall we?" I smile and pull my homework out of my bag.
