Ryan's POV

"AJ is Alexandra?" I heard Justin whisper to himself. That's when I got mad.

"AJ's been your best friend since you were in diapers! How come it took you so long to figure this out?" I yelled. Skylar put a hand on my chest, and I immediately calmed down. I couldn't say the same thing for Ty, though.

"You jerk! You don't even care that she did all of this damn stuff for you! That musical was her life, literally, and you and Lexxi together just crushed it in one foul swoop! Lexxi was right, you two are perfect for each other!" Ty yelled. That was her mentor that had just run off into the brisk night. Suddenly, Sophie spoke up from beside Chaz.

"Justin, you just broke my best friend's heart. And as I'm sure she would do for me, I do for her," Sophie punched him in the face. Hard.

"Go back to your big stadium concerts, and your Ellen, and Selena Gomez. But know that you killed the spirit of your best friend," Skylar put in. She started to walk away, Sophie and Ty following. Sophie stopped as he tried to say something through his now bleeding lip.

"Fuck off," she growled. Chaz, Christian, Justin, and I were rendered speechless as they disappeared into the house.

"I'm not going to forgive her for lying to me all of this time," Justin said nasally. Wow, Sophie had really done a number on his face...

"She never lied to you, man! Whenever you asked you a question, she told you the truth!" Chaz told him, exasperatedly.

"You asked Alexandra if she was related to AJ, right? And what did she tell you?" I asked him, trying to get my point across.

"She said she wasn't related," he said quietly.

"Did she lie?" Chaz asked, sounding older than he was.

"No," Justin admitted grudgingly. I put an arm around his shoulders.

"Come on, let's get you cleaned up," I told him, leading him through the remaining crowd to the separating hedge. Pattie was already there.

"I see one of the girls took care of it. That means I don't have to," Pattie told Justin as we walked back into the house.

"Why are you on their side? How long have you known?" Justin questioned. Pattie cleaned up his face in the kitchen so the blood didn't drip on the carpets.

"I've known since you two were born. I've known AJ's mother since middle school," Pattie told us while she worked. Christian went to call Ty to see if she was okay. "And I'm on their side because I know how much AJ loves you! I have been the stand-in mother, since everything AJ said about her parents is true. They treat Lexxi better than they treat AJ." She paused as she cleaned up the small puddle of blood on the floor. "Plus, as I was planning on her being my daughter, anyway, I was going to punish you for botching up something so great as AJ's love," Pattie finished. We all stared open jawed at her.

"Seriously, mom? You want me to marry someone who has completely lied to me for our entire lives?" Justin asked incredulously.

"No, I want you to marry someone who has waited around her entire life for you. Seriously, AJ can do much better. No offense," she told her son. He was completely baffled by his mother's attitude. "Alright, boys time for bed. We will talk in the morning, and YOU have some serious apologizing to do, Justin." We obeyed, since Pattie was like our second mom.

It was only spring, so the heat wasn't on, but I did grab an extra blanket. It was freezing in my bed.

I woke up to sunshine coming through my curtains. And my phone buzzing in my ear. Instead of ignoring it and going back to sleep, I checked to see who it was. SKYLAR. I picked up.

"Hey, Sky...," she cut me off, mid-greeting.

"Have you seen AJ this morning?" I checked the clock. It was seven thirty on a Saturday.

"No, what's...," she cut me off again.

"She didn't go home last night. Her parents are calling everyone they know. She isn't at my place, or at Sophie's, and apparently she's not with you... Ryan, I'm scared." I swung my legs over the side of my bed so I was sitting up.

"It's okay, Sky, we'll find her. Even if we have to look all day," I soothed her. I could hear her crying on the other end.

"It was extremely cold last night, what if..?" Skylar couldn't finish, because I interrupted her.

"If anyone could live through that, it's our girl, AJ. Wherever she is, she's alright," I told her firmly. She took a deep breath.

"Thanks, Ry-Ry, I needed that," she sniffed. "Her horse came back without her, so we know she's past the woods somewhere. We're all taking Jordan out to find her. Tell Justin to bring Toffee. If anyone can find her, it's that ball of fluff," Skylar told me. I acknowledged this and was about to hang up when Skylar said something.

"Ryan, if I told you I liked you, what would you do?" I grinned into the phone.

"Smile like a man possessed, then kiss you," I replied. That made her giggle. "I'll see you out there, babe."

"Same to you, Ry-Ry," she told me. We both hung up. I rushed to get dressed and wake up the others. This was going to take a lot of manpower. If AJ wanted something hidden, she kept it hidden.

I stepped into Justin's room. He was buried under a mountain of blankets, along with Toffee. "Justin! Wake up, bro!" I told him, shaking his shoulder. He waved me off.

"Go away, Ryan, let a man sleep," he muttered. Toffee, on the other hand, woke up and started licking Justin's face.

"Good dog," I encouraged. Finally, Justin was awake. Unhappy, but awake. "Cmon, get dressed." I told him, tossing him his hoodie. He went into the bathroom and got himself ready in five minutes flat.

"Now, what is going on that you have to wake me up at seven thirty on a Saturday morning?" Justin asked as I grabbed Toffee's leash from it's hook. Chaz and Christian were already up and moving, since Sophie and Ty had clued them in.

"AJ," I said simply. Justin turned around to go back to his room. "She's been out all night and no one's heard from her. Diamond came back without her, and everyone's worried sick. The girls are taking Jordan out to look, but if anyone's got a chance of finding her, it's Toffee. He could find her in a snowstorm," I pleaded. "You might not be on good terms with her, but right now, she could be fighting for her life in the middle of the woods. Please, Justin, help us out!"
