AJ's POV

I still can't hear out of my right ear. Yeah, that was the one facing the audience when I said yes.

I said yes.

I'm engaged to TAYLOR LAUTNER! Woah, NOW it sinks in.

As he slipped the ring on my finger, everyone in the studio audience applauded, cried, or both. One fan yelled "Finally!" and everyone just burst out laughing. Ellen closed the show with a final congratulations.

Taylor and I escaped backstage, where I questioned him.

"How long have you been planning this?" I asked him with an amused smile on my face as I slipped a sweatshirt on. He looked into my eyes sheepishly.

"Since about a month ago," he admitted, walking out the door with me, hand in hand. My right hand, the hand with the ring, was in my sweatshirt pocket.

The paparazzi's cameras were flashing, reporters were asking for confirmations... We ignored them and made our way to Taylor's car. He opened the passenger seat for me, and I stepped in, practically glowing. Taylor got in and started the car. One of Justin's songs started playing on the radio.

"Ugh, seriously?" Taylor muttered, turning it off. My mood instantly dropped as my mind went to Justin. Would Taylor try to break our new friendship? Would my wedding come between us? I leaned my forehead against the window and slowly fell asleep.

Justin's POV

I was playing fetch with Toffee in the front yard when Taylor pulled into the driveway with AJ in the passenger seat, asleep. I opened her door.

"It's okay, you don't have to get out, Taylor. I'll take her inside," I told him, gently taking AJ into my arms. Toffee was silent, as if he knew she was sleeping. Taylor grinned.

"Okay, man. Be careful with my fiancée," he said with an overly happy tone to his voice. My eyes widened and my arms tightened around AJ when I heard what he said.

"Fiancée?" I asked breathlessly. He grinned at me.

"Yeah, I proposed when we were on Ellen tonight and she said yes," he replied. My face went blank, with no emotion showing.

"Congratulations," I said.

"That reminds me, since we're getting married, you have to back off. A LOT." My head shot up.

"What do you mean, back off?" I asked, dreading the answer. He waved his hand indifferently.

"You know, like stop acting like your in love with each other. She's mine, now and forever," he said. Now, I really don't think Taylor's such a bad guy, he just needs someone to love all to himself. Huh, maybe I should set him up with Lexxi...

"AJ doesn't belong to anyone," I muttered, shutting his car door with my foot. Toffee followed me, or was he following AJ, obediently into the house. On the way up the stairs, she started shaking and she started crying.

"Taylor?" My heart dropped, hearing his name come from her lips. "Justin?" I perked back up, hearing my own name.

"I'm here, baby. I'll always be here," I whispered, laying her gently down on her bed. I pulled off her shoes and tugged the covers over her. She was still shivering and crying.

"I'm not gonna choose, we all know who I'd pick..." I really wanted to hear the rest of this, but of course, she stopped talking. I pressed my lips gently to hers, without waking her.

"Goodnight, angel."
