AJ's POV
OMG, my hair's starting to fall out of my hat! Please, Justin, stop making promises you can't keep and walk away! As if he could hear my silent plea, he turned and followed everyone. I quickly detoured to the bathroom, letting my hair tumble down my shoulders, ending at my lower back. I sighed. I had gotten so used to being the girl I was born to be... I took out the familiar wig and countless bobby pins. Here we go again.
Three minutes later, I was in the kitchen, helping the maid to make hot chocolate for all of my friends. I watched over the island counter to see how the girls reacted to the guys. Chaz was helping Sophie dry off Toffee, Ryan and Skylar were playing go fish on the coffee table, Christian and Ty (yes, Ty's a girl, too) were talking about something random, and Justin was talking with Lexxi, my obnoxious, b*tchy twin sister.
Lexxi and Justin had a thing before Justin became famous. They broke up when he left so he wouldn't "tie her down". Ha! She was cheating on him even when he WAS here in Canada! She was already practically in his lap, poor kid. I wonder what happened to what's-his-face, the boyfriend of the week? He's a jerk, so I'm glad he's not here. Toffee was growling loudly at her from his place in the towel Sophie's lap. Toffee never did like her...
"Hello, Alexandra," Lexxi greeted from Justin's lap. You'd think after 17 years she's figure out no matter how many times she says my full name, he'll never get it.
I smirked. "Hello, Alex," I replied. She hated that nickname. She pouted, trying to get attention, and Sophie, Skylar, and Ty snickered. She glared at them and they busted up laughing. "Jordan will show you out, Lexxi," I told her over the girls' laughter.
She followed him up the stairs to her room, saying, "You know, you're actually supposed to be my dog." When she left, Toffee calmed down, getting free of the towel and coming to sit in my lap as I sat in the bean bag chair. I whistled and Jordan and Jayden came to me, sitting at my feet. I loved my dogs so much...
"What was that?" Justin asked, referring to me kicking Lexxi out.
"I had to call the dogs in, so I whistled," I told him innocently. He looked at me with a "No, duh" look on his face. "She' a b*tch and she has a boyfriend. I'm just watching out for you AND her." I admitted. He got up and stretched.
"Cmon, guys, Mom probably wants us home," Justin said to the guys.
"Yeah, I still have night feeding tonight," I added. I owned a fifteen horse stable, and I let the groom off some nights. He was an elderly man and he needed time with his children and grandchildren. I walked them home, side by side with Ryan while the others walked ahead,
"Still crushing on the idiot, huh, my favorite girl?" He asked, an understanding smile in his face. I nodded, feeling stupid. He threw an arm around my shoulder. "Shawty, he will NEVER get it on his own."
