Ryan's POV
I asked Skylar to Prom..
I surprisingly wasn't murdered in my sleep, like I expected. She actually said yes.
AJ had come running through the hedge in her black hoodie and jeans and LAUNCHED herself at me. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!" She shouted. "Finally!" I laughed and gave her a piggyback ride back to her own yard.
"That was a very interesting stunt you pulled, right there," I laughed at her, setting her down on her back steps.
"Three, two..." she warned. I didn't want to know what she would do when she hit one, so I ran away laughing. When I got back to Justin's yard, I overheard Justin talking to Chaz about Prom. I got closer and heard that Chaz and Sophie were going together. We were expecting that. Actually, we were expecting them to get married after graduation. Just saying.
"...I'm going to go ask her, anyway," Justin was saying, getting up from his lawn chair. Chaz was grinning like an idiot, and Justin had that determined look on his face. I guessed he was going to go ask AJ. Just then, said demon child came barreling back into the yard.
"Didn't I just put you on your porch?" I asked her as she sped past me towards Justin. She stuck her tongue out at me as she tried to stop. Somehow, with very interesting crashing sounds, she ended up under Justin, with him cradling her with one hand, and holding them both up. She started to turn red as he helped her up.
"Sorry, I'm a klutz no matter how you look at me," she apologized, getting her blush under control. She looked at Justin with her empty smile. Uh oh. Whatever comes next won't be good...
Justin's POV
She felt so right in my arms. What did I do, telling her I didn't like her that way? I helped her up, a small satisfied smile on my face. I made her blush.
"Sorry, I'm still a klutz no matter how you look at me," she told me with a shrug of her shoulders. Then she looked at me with that fake smile. The one I never wanted to see again.
"So you know how we promised that we wouldn't go to prom unless we made sure we liked each other's prom dates?" She asked me, looking like she seriously didn't want to ask, but her conscience was making her. I nodded, not knowing where she was going with this. "Well, um, Cody asked me, and, uh, since I try to always keep my promises, I'm asking you if you mind." She looked like she wanted to be anywhere else. Heck, I wanted to be anywhere else! But I put on my best smile and acted like I didn't care. Trust me, this was harder than acting on CSI and singing live all in one.
"Cody's a great guy, I'm sure he'll take care of you," I told her honestly. Hey, she's not the only one who can bend the truth. She smiled again, a very small one. She hugged me, and walked away again, leaving me breathless.

I ended up asking Selena Gomez to Prom. Fans kept flocking us, and Paparazzi were outside, being held back by security. Suddenly, the doors opened and Cody walked through, with an angel on his arm. And that angel was AJ. She looked amazing in her peacock blue dress, with gold hibiscuses embroidered on. Her hair was down in golden curls that framed her perfect face, accentuating her ice blue eyes and the light dusting of freckles over her nose. She had a small golden barrette with a blue hibiscus on it, pulling back the hair on the opposite side from her side bangs. If I hadn't figured it out by now, than there was no doubt in my mind that...
"You like her," Selena stated. She was enjoying herself, considering she was being danced around by every single guy in the room. Selena and I had dated in the past, so this coming from her kinda shocked me. I still didn't want to admit it, I was trying not to acknowledge it, but it was still there, eating at my heart.
