*Niall’s POV*

Sage’s words didn’t quiet register at first, but once they did I could feel anger welling up inside of me.

“He what?” I asked, my voice tense.

“Well we were at the mall and he came up to us and asked Violet if they could talk. I was left in the coffee shop while they talked outside and next thing I know he kissed her,” Sage squeaked out the last part.

“I’m sorry, what was that?” I hoped to God I heard her incorrectly.

“Garrett kissed me…” Violet finally spoke up.

Her eyes were glazed over, and she looked close to tears. At hearing her say that, my own heart sped up. Just the thought of that guy laying a finger on her pissed me off, but him kissing her crossed the line.

Without even thinking anything else I bolted for the door and ran out of the arena.

“Niall!” Violet screamed.

I could hear her running after me, but in the midst of my anger I picked up my pace and kept running through the maze behind the stage. Hallway after hallway, turn after turn. I don’t know what I was trying to do, but I needed some way to release my anger.

“Niall please stop!” Violet sounded like she was in tears.

Her voice brought me back to thinking rationally and I skid to a stop. I slowly turned around to see her approaching figure. She slowed down and stood five feet away from me. Her expression was careful, her eyes studying me. She was making sure I wouldn’t react badly again.

“I know it seems bad, but if it makes things any better I didn’t kiss him back,” what she said calmed me more. At least I knew she didn’t want anything to do with him.

“I believe you,” I closed the gap between us and pulled her into my arms.

I held her small frame to me, hugging her tightly. I felt her small arms wrapping around my torso as she clung to me as if I was the most precious being in her world.

“There is only you. Just you,” she said, “I would never leave you.”

“I know,” I said into her hair.

She looked up at me, our eyes connecting. I stared into her chocolate pools, admiring the way the violet hues mixed with the browns. How had I been so fortunate as to finding someone like her? She was the best thing that has happened to me in the longest time.

“I forgot to tell you something that you said to me last night,” I started to say.

“And what is that?” she looked up at me curiously.

“You told me you loved me, and it had been said that when a person id drunk they speak the truth,” her eyes slightly widened at the new information I was giving her.

“Did I say that?” she tilted her head to the side, resembling a confused kitten.

“Yes,” I smiled, “And I would just like to let you know that I love you too.”

The look on her face was of pure joy, and I was not given anytime to react before her lips were on mine. The way she was kissing me was different from the other times. It was tender, but filled with want and need. She didn’t have to tell me the words, because she said it all with that kiss.

“I do love you,” she said, once she broke away from the kiss.

We heard someone approaching; these halls echoed almost any sound. So we turned towards the sound. We found Harry jogging towards us, the look on his face almost panicky.
