*Niall’s POV*

The second we knew where she had gone we decided to go straight to Paul. We all hopped into the van and headed over to his flat. That was the longest drive ever; it felt as though time itself had stopped.

“Have you guys been trying to call her?” Sage asked, looking up from her phone.

“The second I realized she was gone I started texting her,” Harry was furiously typing away on his iPhone.

Being in shock from the start I had not even thought about calling her. So I took out my own phone and pulled up her contact page. I looked down at the picture we had taken together a few weeks back, which I had set as her picture. My thumb hesitated right above the call button; I was scared of her not answering.

Before I could give it a second thought I hit it, and brought the phone up to my ear. It rang, once. Twice. Three times. Then it got sent to voicemail. Had she just rejected my call?

“This is Violet! Sorry I didn’t pick up. I was probably sleeping or something. Leave a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can,” her cheery voice filled my ears as I heard her answering machine.

Beep.

“Violet, why did you go?” I said into the phone, I had decided to leave her a message. “Last night was special, and to wake up to an empty bed…” I paused, feeling my throat tighten up, “Please come back Violet. I love you.”

I slowly brought the phone back down and clicked the end button. The tears could not be held back anymore, so I let them spill over.

“We will find her,” I looked up through my tear filled eyes to see Sage. She had placed her hand on my knee, and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

I gave her a slight nod, not being able to muster up anything else at the moment.

“We’re here,” Louis announced.

He had been the one to take the wheel of the van, and we were now parked outside the building. We all piled out and rushed inside. Cramming into the elevator, Zayn reached forward and pressed the button that led up to his floor.

“Do you think they are awake?” Harry asked.

“Probably not, since it is his day off. But this is important,” Liam was the one to answer the question.

We reached the correct floor, and I was the first to step out of the elevator. Breaking into a run towards the door to Paul’s apartment. As soon as I reached it, I began knocking my fist on it. A few moments later Elizabeth pulled the door open.

She stood there, in her bathrobe, looking rather surprised to see me there.

“Is everything alright? Why are you all here?” she asked, spotting the others coming down the corridor.

“Liz, something has happened,” Sage spoke up.

“Did Violet relapse? Is she in the hospital again?” the older woman looked worried.

“No,” I said, “As far as we know, she is fine…”

She gave me a questioning look. My brief answer had left her wondering more.

“What do you mean as far as you know?” she raised in eyebrow in question.

“She’s gone,” I managed to say.

Elizabeth still looked confused, but before she could question it further Paul appeared behind her.

“What do you mean Violet is gone?” he had just woken up, and to hear that first thing in the morning was not something anyone would want to wake up to.
