*Violet’s POV*
Leaving Liz’s office was harder than I thought. Once everything had been spilled and put out in the open, her office felt like the safest place to be. But walking out of there it hit me that I had some bigger things to face. Like telling Niall that he was going to be a father for instance.
I kept thinking up scenarios of how exactly I’d tell him, but each one concluded in him walking away from me and not returning.
“Violet if you keep thinking so hard, your head is going to explode,” I snapped out of my jumbled thoughts to look over at my blonde friend.
She looked just as frazzled as I felt, and even though I didn’t question her about it before. Her relapse must have been triggered by what had happened with her sister. It must have been tough on her, seeing her own flesh and blood betray her like that.
“I know…can we just go home now? I want to sleep for a few hours. Or days,” I mumbled that last part, brushing past her to keep walking towards our flat.
“You do recall that Louis is in the flat, right?” I stopped mid step and let out a huff.
“Do I have to tell him what’s going on with me?” I questioned, turning to face the waiting blonde.
“Oh you mean the fact that you’re growing an alien inside of you? I think you should tell Niall first,” she started walking and dragged me along with her.
Our walk to the flat was quick and before I knew it we were walking in through the door. Noah had fallen asleep on the couch watching Curious George, and Garret was at the table reading a book.
“What are you reading?” Sage peered over his shoulder and wrinkled her nose at whatever it was he was reading.
“It’s this motivational shit my new therapist gave me to read. Something about looking at life in a positive way, and that I don’t need drugs to keep me happy,” he didn’t seem too fond of the book either.
“Loser,” Sage muttered, as she wandered away to raid the refrigerator.
I on the other hand had to figure out what my next move would be. My entire future was about to change due to this child growing inside of me. I sat down across from Garrett and thoughtfully pondered my options.
“How would you want to hear this kind of news?” I questioned the lad.
He glanced up from his book, the look on his face changing into one of deep thought. He shut the book, and set it down to direct his full attention to me.
“I would want the girl to just be honest with me. Just to be bold and to spill the whole truth then and there,” he explained to me.
I nodded, seeing exactly where he came from. I wouldn’t blame him, this was scaring me and I could only imagine how much it would scare a guy.
“I guess I should call Niall and tell him…” I trailed off, as thoughts of all the negative flooded my mind once more.
Sage wandered over with a plate of sandwiches and a jug of apple juice. She set the plate in the center of the table and went back to the kitchen to get cups.
“I made food for us all, now we feast!” she announced rather loudly. Causing Noah to jump awake and start crying.
“Oh baby, come here,” I got up and gathered him into my arms.
