Don't do that!

I took the kids back home and saw that Mickie and Anna left.

I texted Mickie. What are your plans for Rain?

Anna is going to keep her. It'd be best.

Okay.

Well there's one thing solved.

I texted Anna.

Anna, I know you're probably not even using your phone right now. But I need to tell you. Mickie left and said you're keeping Rain. As you are also keeping the pups. Please know that I miss you. And please, be safe, Anne-Marie.

I normally don't use her full name but it was necessary. I tossed my phone beside me just as Jackson and Rain came down the steps.

"Aunt Addie, where did mommy go?" Rain asked.

"I really shouldn't be the one to tell you, Rain, but mommy left. Mommy cheated on mom and mom got upset."

She climbed into my lap and I held her as she cried.

"Mommy, I miss aunt Anna. She needs to be here. She makes everything better." I held my other arm out and he came and sat beside me.

"I know honey. She'll be home soon. She won't leave us by ourselves. I promise."

~~~
Addie, I'll be home shortly. You can lock the door, I have my key. I don't want to keep you up and waiting. You and your baby girl need sleep. I'll shed you shortly or in the morning.
Four. Hours. Later. She's been away for four hours.
After Rai Nan's J fell asleep on me, I took them to their room and tucked them in.
I've been sitting by the window ever since, waiting for Anna to pull in.
And she did. As soon as she turned off the car I was outside in her arms.
"Anna I'm begging you. Never do that again. Please don't ever storm off like that." I is a dead kissed her cheek.
She mumbled something I didn't quite chance but I didn't care. She was back home, that's all that matters.
"I'm sorry, Addie. I didn't mean to leave. I just needed time to think and get away. I didn't mean to scare you." I didn't say anything. Just held onto her.
"Come on. Let's go inside. You need sleep and I need to relax." She said and I nodded, releasing her and following her into the house.
