This was a Mistake...

Addie's P.O.V.***

Today is the day I can finally go home with my babes. I'm honestly scared though. I mean, what if I snap on Anna? What if I can't make it to one of them on time? Maybe I'm overthinking it.

I watched as Anna talked to the nurse and sign all the papers before making her way to me. Hey, babe, I gotta go get the surprise, then the car seats, and then we'll be good to leave. Okay?" I nodded and she kissed me before disappearing.

I wondered what surprise she's talking about. I sat and waited for my girlfriend to get back.  I grinned, I love being able to say that.

I watched Anna as she put the kids in their car seats. I was kinda jealous, she looks so in her element when it comes to kids; she knew how to calm them down with a simple sentence and how to make them laugh when they were crying only seconds before.

"Here," I said as I got up, "Let me help you." She looked at me before pointing to the chair, "Sit your happy butt down, and just watch. I got it."

I agreed. She finished a few minutes later and then asked me, "Who would you like to carry out?" Angel," I replied. I picked my little girl up and made my way out of the room to outside.

Anna was behind me carrying the boys and everything the nursery gave us and I felt bad, but she wouldn't give me anything else so...

As soon as I stepped out of the door I saw her moms minivan.  "She's giving it to us," Anna said from behind me. She knew we needed one so she gave us her's, apparently.

Anna told me to wait as she strapped the three in, then told me to get in the back with them and I happily obliged. As I was looking at Dawson he began to cry and Anna pulled over before getting out and soothing him.

Already I can tell that he's going to be very close to her and vise versa.

As we pulled into the driveway, I saw Rain, Jackson, and Anna's mom holding signs for us, welcoming us home.

Even though I know Jackson wanted siblings, I can't help but feel as if he's going to get jealous because I'm spending so much time with the babies. Same thing with Rain.

Anna took the boys, again, and I took Angel. "Anna, honey, would you calm yourself? I can take them, you need to relax. You are pregnant yourself, and you have cancer, you need to relax." She huffed at me and I let it go. 

Jackson came running over to me, "Mommy!  You're back! I missed you!" I smiled, "I missed you too J! Were you and Rain good for grandma?" I asked as we walk inside.  He nods and points to Angel. "Who's that?"

I lead him over to the couch and sit him next to me. "This is Angel, your sister."  I tell him. "Do you want to hold her?"

He nods and holds his hands out. "Do you see how mommy's hands are? Put yours like hers," he copies my actions and I set Angel in his arms. "Can you take her back now?" He asked, and I laugh before doing so.

"Hey Anna, Dawson won't stop crying, can you come soothe him?" I call from the nursery. I hear her laugh before I see her come in and hum a lullaby to him.

This is my happy family.
