Zach had to leave the day I got back from the beach. He had been gone for a week. "I love you, and I'll see you tomorrow, babe!" Zach said over the phone. "I love you too, Zachy poo!" I said, because I know he hates being called that. We hung up.

The next day, at school, I was walking to my car and saw Zach. Except he had a bouquet of pink peonies this time. He reached out his arms. I ran to him and hugged him tight. "Ah, I missed you so much!" He exclaimed. I pecked him on the lips and said, "Awe! I love the flowers and I love you! I have to hurry because I have to go to work at three-thirty." "It looks like I'll have to go with you." He said. "That's okay." I responded.

We got in the car and went to the cafe I worked at.

He sat at one of the tables as I worked the cash register. He came up to me and said, "I would like to buy a donut." He held up money and I said, "It's on the house." "Fine, I'll just put it in the donation jar." He said, then tried to kiss me. I smiled and pushed him away. "Wow, you don't like PDA, do you?" He joked. "My boss doesn't like PDA." I corrected.

"What flavor?" I asked. "Raspberry filled." He replied. I got the donut out, put it on a napkin, and gave it to him. He took a seat in one of the stools. "Want some?" He asked. "No, I don't like donuts with filling." I replied. "Really? I love donuts with filling!" He exclaimed. "Looks like we found your passion." I joked. He smiled and asked, "What do you mean?" "You would be a food critic if you didn't play guitar!" I replied and laughed. "I would!" He laughed.

Samuel came into the cafe and said, "There you are! Your mom said you'd be here but I wasn't sure." Zach cleared his throat. "This is Zach." I said. "Her boyfriend." Zach added, and shook Samuel's hand. Zach didn't know who Samuel was until he said, "Samuel."

Zach looked shocked. He clenched his jaw in jealousy of how tall and built Samuel was.

"What's up?" I asked Samuel. "We can't find Genevieve, she ran away again. Have you seen her or talked to her?" Samuel asked. "No, I haven't. When's the last time you saw her?" I asked. "Last night, when she told us she was going to bed." He replied. "Did she say anything about any place or do you know where she might have gone?" I questioned. "No." He answered.

"Try her friend Rebecca's house. That's where she was last time when I found her. Maybe even Joe's restaurant." I suggested. "Okay, thanks." He said and rushed out the door. "I hope you find her!" I yelled.

I sighed and said, "Now I'm worried about her." "Who's Genevieve?" Zach asked. "His younger sister, she's eleven. She's ran away before, but something bad could happen to her some day, she needs to stop doing that." I explained. "Oh, are you guys like close or something?" He asked. "Yeah, I've known her since she was born. Like I said, Samuel and I were friends for a long time. I helped him for Genevieve, not for him." I replied. "Yeah, you don't owe him any favors. If anything, he owes you a lot. I don't understand why he would cheat on you!" He commented. "I don't know, but if he's going to do me a favor, I hope he knows I take cash." I joked. We both laughed.

I got my things and we went to my car. I drove him to the hotel he was staying at. We went up to his room.

"Remember the last time we were in a hotel room together?" He asked and smirked. I blushed and asked, "Did the scratches heal yet?" "Look and see." He said and took off his shirt. I looked at his back to see the scratches hadn't healed yet. "I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed and laughed. "Maybe you should clip your nails next time." He suggested and laughed. "Maybe I should." I said.

"I have to go home now." I stated. "No, don't go! You can do your homework here!" He exclaimed. I thought for a few seconds. "Okay..." I responded. He smiled widely. I went to my car and brought my backpack up to his room.
