Four years later...
On June 15th, I had just graduated from NYU, and was getting married! I couldn't believe that after all that happened before that day, wouldn't matter after that day. I was dressed in my white wedding dress, and ready to walk down the isle.
I walked down the isle as the music played and the people gazed. As I was walking, my stomach was turning. I looked at my fiancé, Jackson, who was standing at the altar, and swallowed. I wasn't sure if I wanted to marry him. Actually, I didn't want to marry him at all. Breaking up with Zach for the last time was the worst mistake I had ever made. Let me tell you what happened...
I was starting my sophomore year in college. Zach and I were fighting about him being gone again. I was tired of fighting with him, but mostly of him being gone. All those days I waited for him to return to New York, gave me the idea that being with him wasn't worth it anymore. When I broke up with him, he was completely heart broken. He wrote a song about me, which The Neighbourhood eventually performed at one of the concerts.
It was all over the media that Zach became an alcoholic, but went to rehab and recovered. That was around the same time I started dating Jackson, when I was a junior. I started to feel somewhat guilty about breaking up with Zach and dating another man. Jackson was charming, nice, and had every quality I looked for in a man, but he wasn't Zach. That's why I said yes when he proposed to me. Jackson's family, the Vanderbilts, absolutely adored me.
My engagement ring was a 15 carat diamond ring, but I would have taken the promise ring I got from Zach over that any day.
Standing at the altar, the priest said, "Speak now or forever hold your peace." Immediately after that, someone charged through the church doors and yelled, "I object!" It was Zach! He came to save me from the relationship I had going with a man I didn't love nearly as much as him. Having the choice to stay and get married or to leave with Zach, I went with my instinct.
A cliché cliffhanger😂😂😂
If this wasn't the last chapter, what would you want to happen after Zach crashed the wedding? Rosie runs away with Zach or marries Jackson out of guilt? Zach and Rosie later get married and start a family (if she ran away with him)? Comment what you think. Thanks to anyone who's contributed to my happiness by voting for chapters, commenting, and adding this book to your reading list! I am truly grateful!
