I saved this quote in my writing journal before I returned Winter so here it is, something that comes straight out of my heart.
The quote above holds a lot of meaning to me. I feel like lots of people judge themselves harshly because they feel like they aren't pretty/ smart/ thin/ brave enough. They feel like no one will like them because they don't possess one of these qualities that people believe makes perfection. I sometimes am one of those people.
People are only going to like you if you are yourself. You don't need to compare yourself to your friends because you are you. Don't pretend to be someone else. Don't hide the things you like. They shape you, they make you stand out from other people and the things you like, do and how you treat beings is what defines you.
Also, don't hate on others. Treat others like you would like to be treated. Everyone deserves to have ambitions, dreams, to be loved, to be happy.
It's hard not comparing yourself, very hard. You feel useless. You feel pathetic. You are NOT! Celebrate the positive things about you, embrace the negatives, let your friends do the same and for the rest of your life learn to love yourself. I found this post on Instagram with six things to tell yourself. Here it is:
1. I am beautiful.
2. I matter.
3. I deserve to be loved
4. I will get through this.
5. I can find peace, happiness and contentment.
6. I have the power and will to survive.
We are all capable of this. We're not as huge as other fandoms (on wattpad) but we can support each other. If you ever need help then we are always here! So this is it. The end. My well of ideas has dried out. I'm surprised at how much I've done. It's probably the fanfic I am most proud of. 'Why I love fanfiction' will be up shortly. DFTBA,
