Good mornings used to be
No cream, no sugar cold coffee
Waiting on the line to the MRT
Regretting not waking up early
Good mornings used to be
Staring at documents blankly
Talks with my best friend Sally
Of topics I didn't grasp fully
Then one morning started disastrously
The routine changed abruptly
To another one illustriously
To an Althea, Unexpectedly
Good mornings now is you and me
Warm fresh brewed coffee
Conversing on the line to the MRT
Blessed of waking up with you beside me
Good mornings now is you and me
No matter how lazy
No matter how dreamy
It's good to know when morning comes
There's still you for me.
